Sorry but Leino should stay with Pommer and Roy... Vanek should skate with Ennis and Gerbe or Stafford..

If anyone has an Xbox, NHL12 and a Gold Membership, I have an NHL12 league going right now that at the moment has 4 spot still left open. The Teams left are the Dallas Stars, New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators and Minnesota Wild. Not the most attractive teams but I'm just trying to fill the whole league up. So far, so good. Someone joined my league as the Winnipeg Jets and has yet to play. I may boot him and give someone else the opportunity because everyone else within the last week has at least played one game.

Just curious. Is it true there is serious consideration of trading Regehr? I thought he was playing OK for you guys out there? We've questioned Feaster about the actual return we got for him but the Kotalik dump really muddies the true return we got. Would be interesting what you could get for him if you did sell him off. I would be so shocked if he was traded after relocating his family out there. Was suprised by the rumours.

That rumor makes no sense to me. Management went through so much effort to bring him in and then they want to ship him out? That reflects poorly on the organization if this is true, unless he has requested a trade.

Win or lose, for the past 41 years, Sabres fans have supported their team with all of their being.

Don't make the mistake of calling Sabres supporters fair weather fans.

I agree & Regehr is the type of guy that when he commits, he's there thru the good & the bad. We had some tough years in Calgary & he wanted to be here to battle through it. Hope it's just one of those goofy rumours that Eck or others likes to put out there for fun. You guys are way underachieving. Always seems to happen & you could just see it happen with all the $$$ you thru around last summer. Good lesson learned, which we have done here in Calgary is that you spend your money wisely, even if there is lots to throw around.

That rumor was started by that hack Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun. 100% BS.

you silly person with your facts and what not..

to be fair all teams have fair weather fans and the attendance usually goes up when you are winning.

i disagree. there are certain organizations that will sell out their arenas whether the team is winning or losing.

interesting that they are the only exceptions. the year the flyers were last in the nhl.(the2007-2008 season). they filled to 98.9 capacity.

odd that philadelphia isnt included in those exceptions

Attendance drop was more to our crooked ownership situation than lack of support for the team...
As a bartender, i can assure you the bars were still full of fans watching the games (for the most part)...
Although, like every team, support is always greater when the team is playing well

my stat of the day

Minor league attendance for this season
rank league team avg attendance
1 AHL Hershey 9,672.5
2 CHL Fort Wayne 7,767.5
3 AHL Providence 7,321.3
4 AHL Chicago 7,230.6
5 AHL Lake Erie 7,218.8
6 AHL Houston 7,108.2
7 AHL San Antonio 6,893.9
8 AHL Grand Rapids 6,875.8
9 AHL St. John's 6,301.0

NHL Phx 11, 829

And i think the arena in Fort Wayne only holds about 12k or so.. i went to a game a few weeks ago, college game but with older players.

my complaint is with Garth's quote "Win or lose, for the past 41 years, Sabres fans have supported their team with all of their being."

and i've heard enough of the "our crooked ownership" is why fans didnt go. no matter the owner of the flyers i'm still showing up. i root for the jersey not the 75 year old guy up in the press box.

to be fair, the city is dying at a very slow pace, compared to the city, the hockey team is making major strides...
