yeah i dont understand any parise rumors at this point, i mean other than to get the person hits and stuff, any truth to them is a total different story

the game last night was one where either team could have won, and im not saying it as it was a gruel match where each team took it to the other, it was more sloppy and neither goalies looked that strong, both gave up softies

also you cant win shootouts when 2 of your players do the same move repeatedly, with one fumbling the puck before getting a shot off

and nice prospect right up too! hopefully boucher will turn into something for us

i would love it if we could upgrade our D somehow

we killed off a 5min penalty nearly getting several shorthanded goals, it didnt even look like we were short handed either

Parise rumors are a joke, he is not going anywhere, until free agency if you can not sign him, them he will be Isles, Buff, or Kings. no where else but those clubs.

id include minny and red wings into the talks about if parise becomes a UFA

and i doubt he would go to the isles as he keeps saying he wants to go to a contender, and the isles havent made the playoffs for a while, and he wants to win now and not down the line, same with buffalo and LA has enough issues scoring so who knows

Vermette would be a good fit only if the Devils know something about Zajac and aren't telling anybody else.

As for Parise and this Nash rumor, why would the bluejackets do it? Why would Parise sign there? The only way Parise leaves the Devils is not because he doesn't want to be here or the Devils don't want him, it's only because the Devils can't afford him so then how could they they afford Nash and his 7.8mil cap hit? Why would the Devils trade Parie while thy are 5th/6th in the division and playing their best hockey of the season? I know Ek just reports rumors but this one is totally out there. (and no, Jeff Carter isn't coming here either with that contract)

Dont forget the fact that the Islanders passed him up in the draft. He has said many times that that hurt him.

We could play guessing games all day, scouts have to go somewhere why not for the heck of it check out blue jackets. Did anyone see the Poni trade coming ? so it could be a goalie, defense or forward, we could say so and so doesnt fit or does, its anyone ones guess what they might be looking at.

With the Devils scouting Columbus in the last two games (Minny/Dallas), the only person that would make any sence is Pahlsson since he'll be a UFA next season. With Zajac and Carter hurt they might want a veteran center for the playoffs (just in case Zajac is out). Plus the Bluejackets defense is too thin right now to make any trades. Wiz and Radek are already out and I believe Methot got hurt last night also. I know the Devils had interest in Tyutin but he signed and extension that carries a 4.5 mil cap hit now.

How did you determine the Isles are one of the clubs he'd go to?

The Nash rumors are a joke, never happen, makes no sense for either team. The reality is the only thing the Devils should be allowed to do is sell off their assets, it is pathetic how the league is giving them an advance on the revenue sharing so they can meet payroll, not really sure how they should be allowed to add any player at this point, I just don't get why the league allows this crap while other teams play within their means making their payroll. If at the minimum payroll and can't meet then then maybe a bailout. That Kovy signing looks better and better each day.

Why would you say that? I think Snow has done a good job and the Islanders are definitely heading up. I agree Parise probably wouldn't sign there because they are still too far away from winning a cup but reaching the playoffs, they might do that by next year. They have some very good young players/prospects they just need a new arena.
