Hemsky sucks I cannot believe KH has ANY intrest in him, he would be 16th on the team in goals...

I've been hearing interest in Hemsky in Detroit is dwindling. His play of late in Edmonton certainly has lowered his value. Which makes me believe he still could be in play if Holland is able to get him for cheap....but the chances of that happening are slim to none.

I don't think Holland is going to do anything before the trade deadline. Which is okay if he can't get a deal that improves this team. But without adding some size and/or grit I don't see this team getting out of their conference (possible, but not likely in my opinion). Things are going to tighten up defensively and then need somebody who can score more dirty goals in a scrum who won't get easily knocked off the puck (READ: power forward, hopefully a big winger).

This looks like a pretty boring trade deadline coming up. There is so much parity in the league I think teams are going to hold onto their upcoming UFA and try to resign in the off-season. Wanted the Wings to try and get Parise (if they can afford him) but I don't see him going anywhere.

I'm beyond excited. The fact they're adding OHL, AHL, NCAA is gonna make for a good time. I might actually have to come down as a media guy.

I can see why Leaf and Wing fans will be excited for the game. For me, I don't really care. I didn't care for the game this year. I am excited for HBO 24/7 though. That's the highlight of the Winter Classic to me. The Leafs have some characters on that team. So they should be fun to watch. The Wings I think will be pretty dull though.

As for the OHL, AHL, and NCAA games. If I am not overly interested in the NHL game, I am not going to be watching those ones for sure. It's great for the city of Detroit though. It will be a real festival of hockey down there.

HBO is the biggest part for sure.

I think there are some guys who could steal the thunder in it: Datsyuk, Grabovski, Armstrong, or Ron Wilson.

I completely agree with the last 3 guys. Never heard Datsyuk actually speak, but maybe he busts out of his shell like Bryzgalov did.

I think Lupul is going to be entertaining too. He really is a rad dude. I wish he was more hate-able being a Sens fan.

I am hoping that they stretch the series to like 6 episodes rather than 4. Maybe stretch out the outdoor game as one episode instead of cramming it in the final 30 min.

I think he's got an odd sense of humor (Dats). The whole "I want to be picked last" and stuff makes for those odd type quotes that make u laugh.

Wait until he tweets about Ottawa being ugly or something (which it isn't... sis goes to Ottawa for school and I love visiting that city. Gorgeous)

Then you can hate him like Buffalo fans do.

Dan Cleary is a guy who could be rather outspoken amongst the Red Wing players and likely would be one of the more prominent Red Wings.

Armstrong will have his own sitcom after 24/7 airs, this guy is hilarious. I'm interested to see behind the scenes with Babcock and Wilson too.

Hopefully our Detroit friends will be back with us in our division next year where they belong so this game will have much bigger implications in the standings as well.

I'd be willing to bet Hudler might be quite a character himself, if he's still around.

I'd take the risk on Hemsky. He's still relatively young and look at his stats before this season. He's pretty much been just short of a ppg player when he wasn't injured. I think he would fit amazingly with Zetterberg and get him scoring again, for the right price why not?

Could anyone believe Berts shootout winner last night? He looked like he was going for a casual skate with a six year old. His toolbox may not be as deep as Datsyuk, but it is awful full for an old man.......

Before the replay, it looked like NHL 12 the way the puck jumped from his stick to the back bar.

I was thinking of Olli Jokinen. He's a bigger, top 6 forward. Can play the powerplay. He's having a good season this year, and he's a free agent at the end of the season. The Wings may be able to get him for picks or a lower end prospect.
