Islanders need to win 7 of the next 10 games.

Only 3 of the 9 teams are in the playoffs right now!!!

There is no decision on who starts in goal tonight. Nabokov has to play until he goes cold. The team is winning right now and Nabokov was the reason they won on Tuesday. No need to change what's working right now.

Let's go Mr. Tavares with the winning goal for his 3rd of the night.

I've got him the hockey pool

I am back after having jury duty, anyway you do not take NAbby out of the net at all. Jack have some common sense and keep the man in.

I would also like to see the first line get some point tonight and they struggle when they dont score. Granted we are getting point but if Nabby was no in net Tuesday we would have gotten destroyed

Good News/Bad News Dept: Milan Jurcina has been cleared to play. I guess no one gets the call today from BPort. Sorry boys

whats bad news about A) jurcina being healthy to play B) an NHLer is able to play instead of a AHL C) its quite possible the AHLer has never played in the nhl before and would understandably be nervous D) throwing an AHL in the middle of a "playoff push"

exactly what is the bad news dee???

I always skip the blog and trying to gauge what ignorant crap Dee said by the responses from people in here, always cracks me up. My favorite was whining about that beer league flash mob and Kraft. Wish I wasn't banned when that went up, I undoubtedly would have had a few comments.

Cappy said Hamonic is "still in pretty rough shape" and there's no timetable for his return? I thought the timetable was 2 weeks?

ill admit that i read them (clearly) and most of the time the blogs are ok, nothing more nothing less. rarely insightful IE its basically a blog of things i can find on twitter...but to say that milan jurcina being back from injury (who btw has been one of the better defenseman on the team) is just ridiculous.

having said that, i do appreciate that dee writes the blogs and gives us a forum to comment...not to mention the fodder she gives us to chew on

2 weeks sounds kind of crazy if he needed surgery to fix his broken face. I am guessing 6 weeks + would be a bit more accurate.

hahahahaha...isnt RDP coming back any time now??

The islanders organization reminds me of Ray Finkles mother from Ace Ventura Pet Detective:

Ace Ventura: WOW, Ray Finkle's house, I can't wait to meet him
Mr. Finkle: Ray ain't coming home
Ace Ventura: But your wife said you expect him home any minute
Mr. Finkle: She expects him home any minute, see the engine's running but there's nobody behind the wheel.

The islanders always expect their injured players to get healthy in no time…..but no one ever does

If it was only a broken nose, after the initial healing he can just throw a cage on and he should be fine. It may not completely heal for 6 weeks, but he should be able to play as long as the stitches don't open up. What I'm more concerned about is the possibility of a concussion.

"No timetable for his return" is concussion-speak. My only guess is that after he recovered enough from surgery they did the concussion testing and found out that he has one. Maybe not, I hope I'm wrong.

Anyone notice how all the sudden the refs are protecting goalies? the Lucic goal disallowed b/c Peverly was touching goalie. The Rangers goal disallowed. Where were these refs when the Islanders had about 4 goals scored on them with an opposing player LAYING on our goalie. Like the Gardiner goal in the Toronto game.
