- I have to say it... I wonder what Dan Hamhuis thought of the Tuesday night crowd in Nashville?

I thought the same thing last night....

Blues in the first round would be a low scoring, every goal matters, coaching battle, blood bath. Probably a 7 game series

I felt like the Preds should've won like 5-3 or so. Oh well. A point is better than none. Only 3 points back of #1 in the West. I'll take that anyday!

Paul, that is freakin' hilarious.

Attn Kostitsyn and Legwand: SHOOT THE PUCK!

All in all, it was a really nice comeback against one of the best teams in the league. Too bad they couldn't pull out the win though. Maybe next time.

While there were positives for sure, some things worry me about last night.

Our young Dmen were getting their butts kicked along the boards, especially in the 3rd when the Nucks forecheck was firing on all cylinders.

Vancouver were beating us to every puck along the boards. This only reaffirms my belief that we need more experience on the blue line. Someone who can slow the rush as well, not just let the skater float in behind goal and find Kessler wide open in front of the net.

Very exciting game nonetheless.

I would have to agree with the above post. The biggest need for the Preds right now seems to be on the D side. If you think back to the St. Louis & Vancouver games - the Predators offense put plenty of pressure on the opponent. In both games, I think Rinne got outplayed. Halak was a stone wall in the St. Louis game. The Preds should've had 6 goals.

Same last night - the Preds could've easily scored 5. Luongo let in a softy - but he stood on his head for 6 minutes in the 2nd period. The game was lost on the Defensive side. And all the late pressure in the 3rd from the Canucks - the Preds D couldn't win a battle along the boards or clear a puck.

I would love to see DP add a big, consistent forward. I mean look what the Sedins & Kesler mean to Vancouver. (Good luck finding that right now in the trade market...by the way). But the way this team is structured currently, the Preds biggest hole is on that second and third defensive pair. The St. Louis goal and two of the Vancouver goals last night were direct results of mediocre defensive play.

Ellis and Josi got a little tatse of playoff hockey last night. This team needs to add beef on the D and wing.

When he was introduced by the Vancouver ownership group the summer after he signed there...he made a backhanded quip that there were more people at the press conference than fans on a Tuesday night in Nashville.

It would still be a whole lot better than a lot of people on these boards thought would happen before the season started. There was A LOT of negativity on here before the season.

I think Hamhuis said thank God I'm back home where hockey is #1 and not Nascar and Country music. I watched the Nashville feed last night cause I live in Illinois and every other commercial was for Nascar...I hate to stereotype but if the shoe fits...

Anyways it was a good game between 2 good teams. I actually like the Preds and the players on the team. If they keep playing like they are they will give Detroit a run for their money in the Central especially if they add a good forward. Preds are playing well at the right time. At least you aren't the Blackhawks...that team is a mess right now. Merry-go-round goalies, need another defenseman...

That's funny. I watch all the road games on the Preds feed and can't say I've ever seen that many NASCAR commercials. Mostly the commercials belong to Preds' sponsors so I'm not sure what you're talking about. I'm guessing you were focused primarily on those commercials so the obsession is more yours than Nashville's.

Fox sports was televising the the hockey game. Fox is carrying the Daytona 500 in a couple of weeks. Yes, there was a lot of nascar commericals pimping the Super bowl of nascar.

That was a good game. You guys have some awesome speed up front, and I hope you guys have a good run too cause I like the Preds game. Thought Luongo stole this game and outplayed Rinne, rather than a previous poster suggested, but that's because Preds outplayed the Canucks.

I thought this graph at the bottom you might like.

I'd have to agree with you as far as Bears fans are concerned. Luckily, I'm a Green Bay fan so it doesn't apply to me. However, given the right girl ED should never be a problem unless too much JD is consumed which in that case she should be able to help out.

Thanks that means a lot coming from you. Take it easy buddy I was just messing with you guys a little. Like I said I like your team and the players on it, don't take things so personally. I enjoy watching the 2 teams play against each other especially when Keslord takes over.

Interesting visualization (and interpretation) of momentum swings which are more felt than seen on a chart. (It would seem difficult to come up with concrete stats/facts to create such a graph but I think they did a pretty good job.)

Are those graphs available for all NHL games?

I would never do that as my wife and I would have nothing to drink then. Of course I know that is where it comes from and I appreciate that Tennessee provides such a delicious product. I drive down from IL with the wife and kids every year to go see my Atlanta Braves and have yet to stop at the distillery. Hopefully one of these days we'll make it there.
