Not surprising, he's had to work his tail off every day of his life to get where he is now. That doesn't just go away once you find some success. He's a special person and Philly is lucky to have him.

We really are...

I still wish we would have kept Richards... but i think they felt like Richy was holding other players back... i dunno...

I bet they asked Briere to waive his no trade and he refused. Speculation on my part... but that would have made the most sense

I think the Flyers knew what they were doing when they traded Richards and Carter. There had to somethimg more than "hockey" behind those moves. I liked Richards too and a I'm shocked they dont miss either. This team is more likeable too.

In all honesty, he's already my 2nd favorite player to done the Flyers uniform. Considering my age, I've only been able to closely watch the team since the mid-90's, but Giroux is incredible to watch. Its been a pleasure to watch him mature and morph into one of the game's true superstars. His vision, speed, determination, and skill are on display every time he hits the ice, and his passion to win is ALWAYS evident.

Hopefully we have 15+ more years of getting to watch this guy. He's a special talent.

You hit the nail on the head right there. This team is SO much more likeable. Must be a lot more fun as a player being in that locker room this year too.

I highly doubt they would ask an incredible playoff performer to waive his no trade

"That's he answer most guus would have given you. He meant what he said about doing more if necessary."
Tim you make so much sense
