Can't argue with his past couple games, that's for sure. I wouldn't personally call him elite given his work this year as a whole, but if he can continue those types of efforts he'll get back in the conversation quickly. A little more consistency from the players in front of him will help, too.

Kipper has owned the Pacific so far this year in the minimal games they've played. If he can continue his crazy numbers against that division, playoffs will be within reach.

The only problem with Mikka is that he steals enough games by himself that it masks what kind of team we actually have.

Nice write up Vetts... Is there any coincidence Iggy's play seems to be timed with the trade. Makes you wonder if JI is in on the management meetings... I truly believe he wants to stay and win in Calgary and with that in mind probably gets a voice on the design of this team... Kipper just amazes me. He's playing to the 04 level and allowing this team a chance to win every night.

Still don't think they make the playoffs though...

I couldn't immagine what our record would have looked like without Kipper this year. When your consider what defense looked like and the Injuries this team could have been the Columbus Blue Jackets bottom feeling the whole season. But I can't help to wonder what we could get for him and how we would replace him (our newly acquired Kari Ramo has the gears in my head grinding away)

Nice to see the boys get themselves some tough points in the last few.

I think he will be a good goalie but still has one more year to play in the KHL after this one. So maybe at next years deadline Feaster may entertain offers for Kipper.

You're probably right but if we can hang around that 8th spot until we get Tangs, GlenX and Smith back we may just make it.

I know we haven't clicked like last years post Christmas run, but it does make you wonder how a totally healthy Calgary would have done... That and Iginla starting his season when the regular season started not two months later. That would seemingly be the difference between where we are now and where someone like Nashville are in the standings.

Big win last night eh
I think a lot of other teams fans like to say Kipper is too old & Iggy is too old but believe me I think guys like Yzerman are eyeballing Kipper & maybe Chicago are hoping flames fall out of contention before the end of Feb to make a deadline pitch for him. This guy is capable of taking a very good team all the way. I dont give a rats ass about the numbers, this guy has made a shallow, rookie laden blueline look pretty good & a not very good team a shot at playoffs. Wonder what Rinne's numbers would look like with the Flames blueline? Philly made a huge mistake in their decision to pass on Kipper.
I think we stick close & dont expect any blockbuster trades but Feaster really should take a hard look at our UFA's & decide which ones are not going to be resigned & still move them for picks & prospects. Let our kids from Abbotsford play in the spots, they've done well this year, & sell regardless if we are still sniffing 8th place.

No doubt Cammi has got Iggy going, he can be just as fierce to win. Vowswithin, you were asking about that trade, we win hands down. Bourque was a 3rd liner here, behind rookies & we got a bonafide top 6. His trade value in 2 years will be worth more than what Bourque was today. Holland was unsigned, 20 year old playing in a league of 17-18 year olds. Comparison, Ryan House, 100 point guy in Chilliwac, who has literally vanished at the AHL level. 2nd rounder, Cammi will get that back & more if we were to trade him. Dont think twice on the deal. Bourque will be in trade rumours next year in Montreal for sure.

Incase you have no idea what I am talking about and think im crazy

Let's not forget that Quick played pretty well also and is really the only reason the Kings were in the game. The Flames forchecked very well and had lots of chances.

And Kipper is Elite, Top 5 in the league. Put him on Detroit and he may not ever lose

Quick is having an awesome year, he's the reason kings are in the playoff picture. Kippy was super solid last night and was the difference in the game. Flames had a great floor check and Iggy is scary! Don't give up on this team yet, especially with the addition of Cammellari. Good trade, he is a sniper, I was really disappointed when Kings let him go.

Won't happen, Vetter has compromising pictures of Eklund and a sheep, so he writes his own ticket and comes and goes as he pleases
