Weak offensive effort.
The Leafs had no answer for the Rags size. Just pounded them all night.
3 game in a row for the first time all year for Kessel and Lupul to go pointless. |

3 game losing streak, 4 game win streak and now a 2 game losing streak. Does this team have any consistency? |

Whatever your thoughts are on the over-rated list, I'm glad people are finally admitting that Komi deserves to be on that list. 4.5 per for nothing.
Without Liles in the lineup a guy like Gardiner would have been nice, as we could have used the speed.
With this game it exposes the need for a trade; getting outmuscled, and lacking that impact player like the other ontario team(our 'other daughter') you'd have to think that a major move is coming soon, as every point counts and we need a true star on the 1st line for when Kessel and Loops go cold. Not that I'm trying to take anyhting away from how well the two have played, but we need someone to mitigate their inevitable streakiness.
Man was the puck ever bouncing tonight. I know the ice may be bad but the Leafs just flat out could not connect on anything tonight.
As much as I like Luke, the fact is that if he needs to go for us to get a guy like Staal then so be it. I've also gotten quite tired of Kadri, as he doesn't seem big enough to be a true impact player. We need him to go while his value is relatively high. |

I hate the forking Sens.
Part natural dislike. Part envy at how they can take a young team and, in a year they should be bottom feeders, simply turn up the juice.
To think of how long it took for this team to get it's ass together and not blow the first half of the season, the Sens simply step things up

you consider 27 and 28 old? even 30 isn't old. that's when players are in their prime. Alfi, gonchar, and i guess kuba are old, neil and phillips are getting there, i'd say they're on the last legs of their prime years.
either way, that's 5 guys who are "old" on a roster of 22. ottawa has 11 players under the age of 25, that's 1 more than the leafs, who everyone considers a young team.
winning teams are about finding a good blend of youth and experience, and ottawa has definately done that so far. perhaps the leafs would be helped by injecting some veteran leadership into that lineup. |

I can see 7 under 25 years old, who are the others?
turris
Foligno
Butler
smith
daugavins
Karlson
Cowan
By older, I mean Ottawa is not made up of rookies, the core of the team is 28+, the 7 players above maybe Karlson is a key contributor, the rest are role players that are not close to the older group I mentioned.
And yes a player who is 27/28 is 7+ years into his pro career, closer to the end than the beginning
So yes Ottawa is an older team, especially when you compare to the leafs.
The leafs could use some veterans I would think, they certainly are not consistent and have not found a way to win regularly. But I dont want to trade picks and prospects for a Doan or whatever... its a Getzlaf or bust imo |

The Mac-Grabs-Kule line looked good when they were put together. If they can fire at last years rate down the stretch, we should get in.
With all the rumors swirling around untouchable, franchise players, Burke better do something. It doesnt have to be an enormous steal like every other trade hes made.. if he can get a Staal or Nash type player I would be fine with an overpayment. |

Yeech. Normally when a team plays 40 minutes, they at least get to play the last 15 of the third.
The last 15 of the third was hogwash. Totally disorganized.
But the grabbing players from the bench???? Thats pretty unfocused and suspendable.
Oh well... only 1 game. Winnipeg lost too. But Ottawa Din't |

That game just re-affirms what is needed for this hockey club. Two large top 6 forwards. We couldn't compete, down low in the Rangers end tonight. We seemed to want to play the Rangers game and that's to trap and cause neutral zone turnovers. The game was over, once the score hit 1 - 0. Like when we play Boston and to a lesser extent, Philadelphia, we cannot get position in front of the opposition net. A first line center, with size and a good second line winger with size, is in order. If we must part with a defenceman, Grabovski, Kulimen and or MacArthur, plus Kadri to do this, it must be done. We cannot believe that we can get one through free agency, because teams just aren't letting players like that, walk away free, when they become UFA's. I have a feeling that Burke is about to do something. I feel that Sunday may be the day he pulls the trigger. Keep your ears on the radio, eyes on the T.V. and stay logged in tomorrow, probably around noon, if it does come to be. |

Komisarek
The guy cant even make a breakout pass. What a waist at 4.5 mil and we need bozak back. I dont think Connolly clicks as well as bozak does with Kessel and Lupul. Connolly needs go back to centering MacArthur and Kadri because lombardi is unless in the offensive zone. |

Classy move by the Leafs tonight for the Forces. Should auction those jerseys for charity.
Is Reimer getting the start against the Sens on Tuesday? Should be a good one though that will be our 3rd game in 4 nights. I fear a let down game |

interesting that Komisarek has his worst game of the season and all of the sudden the haters are springing out of the woodwork. He hasn't played this poorly since last year. It appears as if tonight was anomaly from the way he has played the rest of the season |

Even when komi is playing well, is he worth 4.5 million? Ever since he got back into the line up after missing time from the injury he has reverted back to his previous form. |
