one would think when you get 2 shutouts in 3 games you would have confidence. Gustavsson looked pretty shakey yesterday. He's got talent but unfortunately is a headcase

I don't like the call to go to Gustavsson again.
Yeah, he's played well, but he wasn't so brilliant last night in a loss that he deserved to start tonight.
In back-to-back games, it's usually assumed that the goalies will split the games unless one of them performs incredibly in the first one. Gustavsson's performance last night was decent, but certainly not incredible.

meh. teams often play their #1 back to back. Hes young and he's hardly overworked.
you say that he wasn't so brilliant that he deserved another one, well on the other hand he wasn't bad enough that he shouldn't play.

he lost a game by one goal that should of been closer to 8-2 for the sabres.. he made alot of big saves..the one glove save where he was moving towards the middle of the crease and the shot came back to his glove hand side was fantastic.. his glove was behind the centre of his balance.. trust me, thats impressive
when you win 4 in a row and then lose one when your team didnt show up you deserve to get this second start to try and bounce back.. and he's posted fantastic numbers in the first 5 games.. you ride a hot goalie.. punishing for losing one would be a massive strike against his confidence

gus looked anything but shaky
first goal: off of franson's foot
second goal, i personally thought it went off gunnar's skate but at the very least he was screened by his defensman
third goal: it was just a nice goal
the one debatable one was the second goal.. which, if not deflected, was at least a screen
he made alot of big saves to keep the leafs in the game.. the leafs were slow and skating lazy (with a couple of exceptions) last night
