im in 5 leagues and 3 have drafted already... he has gone in top 8...
and you say late october like it is months away.... u do realize it is october right? he will be back in like 2 weeks...
also, if ur league has an IR slot, then he can be put in that slot if pens put him on IR and u another slot for a sleeper pick |

whoops. round 11. and goligoski. i had my forward ranks practically filled out and was working on my D. i dont really care cuz i didnt want to waste a pick and he be a bust and not play or get hurt again. if he does good good for the guy who drafted him with the pick right after me. plus i hate him so i refuse to have him on any of my teams. |

If he is going to miss the prerequisite amount of games to qualify for LTIR, why would the Pens not put him on LTIR? |

If they think he is going to miss a certain amount of games, they'll put him on LTIR. They can practice and stuff, it's all part of the process to get well enough to play again. |

Eklund: Where to draft Sidney Crosby? Also..Some Surprising Names in on Turris - Eklund
No way I'd take him in my top 15. Maybe 15-30. To me, it's just not worth the risk, unless you're talking later rounds. Because even when he comes back, he's one hit away from a poolie's disaster. Personally, I'd rather let someone else take the chance. But I'm pretty risk averse with pools.
I'd rather grab Malkin -- and key in on other PIT players -- because, if Crosby comes back with a vengeance, everyone else will get a boost in their point totals. |

Hes not worth the risk at this point....nobody knows when he will return and nobody knows how he will do once he does return to action and is taking hits... I would think about taking him rounds 5-6 but nothing earlier |

everyone in my draft last week forgot about Crosby, he went in the sixth round of a 14 team draft. I was shocked and pissed off that I forgot about him. Frankly i'd pick him up on a second/third round selection..but not with my first pick.
He could play ten games and shut it down for the year.

I'm in two drafts, and in both he went in the first 8 picks. I think he went 8th in both in fact. |

This is foolish. He's the best player in the league. I can understand not drafting him in the first round or 2 due to his injury status, but its just as likely he comes back and picks up 90+ or so starting in November.
I hate Scott Hartnell with a passion, but he serves a purpose in our fantasy league, so he's on my team. Just like Gordon Gekko advises Young Bud to never get emotional about stocks, the same should be advised about fantasy teams if you are serious about winning. |

He went in the 2nd round of my draft (13 people). Was before they said he'd be playing by the end of October though. |

If he plays in October he should go first either him, Datsyuk or AO. |
