It really is horrible how inept this Organization is. See what takes place over the next couple weeks.

Such a sad state of affairs when the Sabres organization is so bad that the blog with the most bloggers has a writer who has given up on this organization because he and all his bloggers know what needs to be fixed. Yet the organization deliberately does nothing and laughs all the way to the bank. So very, very sad.

13 seasons and no playoffs. That is pathetic when 1/2 the teams can make the playoffs each year.

Will the sabres be in the Jacob Markstrom conversation this summer.... maybe a Markstrom/Rasmus Anderson blockbuster?

Or will they go with retreds like Clifton and Johnson again this summer?

The Buffalo Sabres officially extended their NHL-leading playoff drought to 13 years with their 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. This is certainly not where many expected the Sabres to be after their big step forward in 2022-23. However, they, unfortunately, went in the wrong direction this campaign, and many questions will surround them this summer.

It's clear that the Sabres are going to need to make some changes to their group. Their roster was just not strong enough this campaign. However, luckily for them, they are in a position to make some serious moves.

The Sabres are entering the summer with a plethora of cap space and an immensely strong prospect pool. Because of this, they should look to be active in free agency and the trade market.

The Sabres should look to improve some areas on their roster. They should add a top-nine center who offers both skill and grit. They should bring in a short-term but effective starter/1B goaltender to allow Devon Levi more time to develop in the AHL. Landing a top-four right-shot defenseman and a scoring winger should also be considered.

Ultimately, the Sabres simply need to improve their roster. If they don't address their needs during the summer, they could be in for another disappointing campaign in 2024-25. Yet, for now, their goal will be to finish this season on a high note, even with the playoffs officially out of reach.

...too bad no one is listening.

Clifton, I think, has really come around as the season has went on. I'm fine with him now. I think RyJo is 1 of the top6 next year. 7th defender isn't a huge deal for me, get a vet that can player coach, who doesn't have the last name of Johnson.

What do you think?

Why are you fine with am overpaid at $3M per bottom pairing defender in Clifton.

Do you think it's good to pay the bottom pair north of $7M annually?

Samuelsson and Ryan Johnson in the top 4 over joker. Easy fix.

Quinn would be your top 6 guy. He just can’t stay healthy.

I think of cozens tage and tuch play 60% of last years production. We make playoffs but they have stunk all year

Also amazes me how they couldn’t call up Kulich to give him a chance to play games and nope.

How are all of Dahlin, Power, Byram, Samuelsson and Ryan Johnson going to play in the top 4 next season?

Ryan Johnson will by game 50 when Samuelsson inevitably gets hurt again?

My issue is that there's nearly a zero percent chance a guy like Stamkos would come here.

Hello Darkness, my old friend.

- QuinnFan

It doesn't matter much this upcoming offseason, but the last time Stamkos was a UFA, his decision came down to Buffalo or Tampa, FYI.
