The Panthers are painful to watch. They are not a fast team by any means. Maurice's defensive system by clogging up the neutral zone doesn't work either. All the other teams have to do is dump it past them in the neutral zone and then beat them to the puck which they usually do. While playing keep away from the Panthers, the Panthers are sprawled out and leave their goalie vulnerable.
There needs to be a coaching change in the off-season as Maurice will suck the very life out of this team. Zito then needs to go out and get some hard-nose players or reinvent the team by getting fast skilled puck shooters that can hit the net and get to the puck first before the opposition.

You have a couple of young defensemen in the minors who never get a chance to play, namely Kiersted and Carlsson. I wonder why? He keeps acquiring other defensemen during the offseason but never gives these guys a chance, Are they professional minor leaguers? Could they be any worse than an IR Ekblad or an aging Kulikov?

It’s a good question regarding the young guys, man. But the defense has been a positive the majority of this season, can’t deny that.

And how about this one…I was looking forward to seeing what that Petteri Lindbohm had when they signed him out of Europe. He barely got a look, then faded away into obscurity and is back playing in Europe.

I remember reading favorable scouting reports on him that he was strong in the defensive zone and an intelligent player…

Maybe they should hire Jamo Kekalainen who knows how to pick young talent and was great as an amateur scout.

His brother was FL’s chief European scout up until a couple of years ago

decent win but again its certainly a team we SHOULD beat. Glad they got Bob the SO to help his confidence going forward
