It is nice seeing Geno alive engaged and happy on the ice. I wish it didn’t take scoring in front of his parents to bring it out of him anymore.

Not sure if it was his parents or just playing CBJ. He has 3g+2a in 3 games vs CBJ this year.

He definitely always plays more engaged after he scores a goal, or someone pisses him off. Pissed off Geno is my favorite Geno.

I’m I to expect that Poulin’s heart is actually in making it to the NHL after turning down the invite from Gudbranson? Then he gets lit up and takes a penalty directly after.

Do you ever root for our prospects besides Bobby Farnham to succeed?

Our prospects lack that awesomeness factor of Jeff Carter who has never ducked a fight in his career.

Bobby Farnham actually comes from an extremely wealthy family that owns a chain of grocery stores in Canada. Dude could have made more money in the family business. He chose to put his body on the line to try and make his NHL dreams come true. Which he did to a certain extent. I respect that

Well he had a perfect opportunity to show that he wants to be there. Turned that down. What am I supposed to think?

Poulin cross checked Guddy like 4 times in the back. Carter has fought in his career and is top 100 in goals all time. Poulin might be a 10 goal scorer who kills penalties.

I have no illusions Poulin will have a career anywhere close to Carter's.

Jeff Carter is hardly a fighter though. Poulin fought the AHL PIMs leader this year. Carter has had like one fight since he left Philly. Didn't he do the same thing a few weeks ago as far as whacking a guy and refusing to fight?

Your right. Carter should be trying to do everything in his power to establish himself in an NHL lineup in his 19th NHL season. No difference in circumstances there. I apologize.

I don't think getting beat up by Guddy is going to establish him in the NHL.

Also if you’re on a guy like Carters line and you don’t jump in you’re a cuck. Have some (frank)ing respect.

I'm all for him dropping them to stand up for a teammate, but Guddy could end his season quickly. He can find somebody who isn't one of the top handful of fighters in the league.

BTW, Graves is out with a concussion. We may get a Ludvig-St.Ivany 3rd pair tomorrow. Should be fun to watch those guys together.

1) Poulin hasn't been the picture of health in his career.

2) His coach hates fighting. Would have been the dumbest decision of his career to get wrecked fighting with Sullivan as his coach. He might never get another look with the Penguins.

I was all small guys who had to answer for big chef. Carter kept skating until he knew the small guy calvary showed up. Malkin would have fought the entire team.

So why give Gudbranson the extra shots after he cleanly out battled you in the corner. That’s what irritates me more. Like either be the guy that just skates away, or the guy that isn’t afraid of anything.

I would expect Malkin to jump in for Carter. He should show some kind of leadership.

If you guys listen to Darcy Tuckers interview with the Chiclets he pretty much hits the nail on the head with what’s wrong with all these call ups that aren’t really into making it.

The Pens got about 8 months of Carter the good player and about 2.5 years of a retirement party for Carter.
