There’s an irony that he and Bert both wanted significant raises. But, Hronek has had a career year and things haven’t been quite as good for Bert after taking the 1 year in TOR.

Bert has had a falloff this season, so there goes his big contract.

Hronek has the benefit of playing with the premiere young D-dude in the league right now...on a hot team. Take away Hughes and see what happens.... I like Hronek, don't get me wrong, but I just don't think he's all that. His numbers will drop precipitously when he leaves for another team.....There's no way he's worth north of $8m......even if he wanted to take consider a pay cut, I'm just not sure. He's good, YES....but ain't THAT good.

Good news for GRG. They've fought through some tough times, but perseverance and skilled employment of players has brought them back to respectability. Think it bodes well for DRW as some of these kids are going to be stud NHLers. Eddy's up to stay, Mazur may be s shock name on the ON roster, Danielson's going to make some waves, ASP is going to have a year of adjustment but will do well. Want to see what Kasper looks like in camp, I think he may well make ON as well.....watched some YT video of this kids.....yeah. I still harken back to the game earlier this year when we had the all kid line (Mo, Kasper, Eddy, etc... ) get in that scrap and you saw Kasper, Mo, and Eddy getting into it then skating away looking BAD. ASSS. That picture is going to be etched in my mind, and I think this will be a major vision for us next season....Kasper's going to be a rough player, Mazur's got a bunch o'grit in his game. Danielson's going to be a bit more of a finesse player with some good looking speed. The play-off run for the kids in GR will help them next year, for sure.

I don't think we're gonna make it, being honest. Just facing overwhelming odds trying to come back from the bottom falling out when Larkin went down. I think it's a bit much to expect. That being said, despite bing on a 7-game spiral, we're still in the hunt....Kinda makes me wanna puke being 10pts up then 2pts out in 15 games....definitely need some changes. I like Perron A LOT, but is he what we need going forward? FIsh is gone. Sprong & Kane need to be in red....Sprong's a beast. Eddy stays. Need a bunch of help in net.......may be time to look at a name like Berggren to go in a trade for a strong G to fill the gap until we know what Cossa & Augy will bring to the table.....

WTH is going on with Sprong? He needs to work on his offense?!?!?!? Gimme a break, the whole damn TEAM needs to do that. He's one of the bright spots in the year, so sitting him really grinds my gears......

Apparently with the close checking and close scoring games of late, it is deemed that Sprong is too much of a defensive liability. Another thing I am wondering now: Why did the Kracken allow him to walk??? And why is his TOI so low there and here???? His stats were good. Does he not take to coaches?????

Lalonde is a joke and these players, a great many of them, are a disgrace to the winged wheel... signing off on the season, will not waste more time on this group who have little heart..... so disappointed

The excuse was that he was out injured, well, he is back and they look listless.

They are playing a cup contender and one of the hottest goalies in the league. What did you expect????
