Dumb question:

It’s why the late-round draft pick sent to the Wild in the trade was a conditional one, and required the 35-year-old Maroon to appear in at least one playoff game for the club.

Does this mean MIN does not get the pick if Maroon doesn't play?

Yes, if Maroon doesn’t play at least one game in the playoffs, Bruins keep the 2026 6th rounder.

I don't think he really wants to be there, Maroon, that is.

Ya, he would prefer to be in Arizona, or maybe Philadelphia.

Philadelphia for sure, AZ is a bit "iffy" if you ask me.

Conjecture until proven otherwise. So far Maroon is saying everything he is "supposed" to. Ty is a blogger here but he is a Bruins insider first. Can't really recall a time where he has reported something that was false or grossly inaccurate.

Basically never. Ty is a straight shooter. Always has been. Can see the bright side but also gives it to fans straight up. I can take 100% of what he says at his word. If he doesn't know he makes that known to his readers.

Mad respect for this dude. He would throw a rotting tomato at Sweeney at a press conference if Sweeney did something overtly stupid.

Who was it that traded a 3rd round pick for Zac Rinaldo?

Not sure anyone had a high opinion of that trade. A few others too.
