Isles a breath away? Wings on the outside looking in on points percentage

When you are in a losing streak, the breaks usually go against you like they did on Saturday night.

But 2 points back. I would say a breath away is fair. There’s no room. There is not much doubt that will be remedied in a tie. Detroit may be looking at a scenario where Isles grab 3rd in their division and Detroit dukes it out with Philly and Washington for the last spot.

Appreciate the drop in, just not sure why the criticism is necessary. You do you

Detroit is going to have to do the cliche “make your own luck”. Unfortunately 3 of the past 4 games were against teams that could all well be last team standing in their division. The Vegas odds after TDL (day of) didn’t make much sense. May well change daily. VGK, COL, FLA are teams where the fans should be excited and setting aside a couple bucks to try and get to a post season game. Just to be in that atmosphere.

Points percentage is a more accurate reflection in hockey. Just bringing it to your attention. It will be tough I think between Detroit and Philly, one will be on the outside looking in

I appreciate your input on that. The “drama” is in placement but you have an excellent point. Roy gets a coaching bump, for sure. I’d be terrified to be in that room after a bad period. Isles don’t get enough respect but they have elements Detroit is sorely lacking. Philly, man, that is going to be a tough issue. If the Caps string together enough that’s going to be rough as well.

Would have been great for the western race if Vegas was dealt another blow. Detroit making the east more interesting then they need to for themselves though.

Screenshot that. I have a feeling there will be a debate on go for it or stink and sink over the next few weeks. VGK made HUGE moves and the cap overage/LTIR stuff is finally hitting some headlines. They’re going to have to address teams that have miracle healings the day after the cap lifts and end up 15m over the cap for the playoffs (or 10 etc)

Detroit is no longer in a play-off position. Isles win their 6th in a row.

too many passengers especially on defense.

Yzerman starting to look like Kenny with some of the free agent signings (Copp, Holl, etc.)

get Edvinsson up here for one. They finally got Bergren up here and he looked good.

Also, if they make the playoffs they are just going to get steamrolled by NYR so it doesnt really matter.

Berggren made an intercepted cross ice pass that lead to a rush and a goal.

Yes.. I did see that. But he also helped put pressure on in Vegas' o-zone and drew a penalty late in the third period... of which the Wings did not score on the ensuing power play which was just another frustration. Overall though... Berggren still looked pretty good I'd say. They should keep him in the lineup. Got nothing to lose at this point. Really sad & frustrating to see the team implode at this point in the season. They just need a freakin' win right now.
