Wings got their work cut out for them today. This will be a good test against an elite team. Wings have a chance if they can use their speed and take away time and space from Florida. Lyon will need to be on top of his game. Florida's defense is as good as it gets and the Panthers play a heavy game. Still shocked Yzerman was able to pick up Lyon for basically the league minimum salary in the offseason last year. It was a great move and it's made a huge impact. The Yzerplan rolls on... Should be a fun game to watch.
If the Panthers make any trades at the deadline, it should be for Frank Vatrano. He has been with the Panthers; he knows most of the players and he has 26 goals and only makes 3.65 million. He adds grit and tenacity to the team and would look great on the Bennett/ Tkachuk line.
