This is really cool. Jags was my favorite player as a kid. Glad he’s able to come home.

Good for you guys enjoy. Loved Jagr as a Ranger and even as a Pen was hard not to like him. Class act all the way and a joy to watch. Should be fun to watch the ceremonies so deserved.

Teams never get out of their own way

The season is lost, sign him and play him, even for just one

You can’t argue that he’s not in game shape

I would fully support it. Jagr-Talbot-Kessel 4th line for the rest of the year. Would definitely make the dressing room more interesting...

Lines at practice:
Rickard Rakell-Sidney Crosby-Bryan Rust
Drew O’Connor-Evgeni Malkin-Reilly Smith
Matthew Phillips-Lars Eller-Valtteri Puustinen
Jansen Harkins/Jonathan Gruden-Jeff Carter-Colin White
(Jesse Puljujarvi)

Marcus Pettersson-Kris Letang
Ryan Graves-Erik Karlsson
John Ludvig-Chad Ruhwedel
(P.O Joseph-Vinnie Hinostroza)

Looks like Puljujarvi may sit for the new guy. Harkins sounds like he's probably in for Gruden.

Puljujarvi looked rough last game. Still, pretty quick demotion

Yeah, to my eyes it kinda looked like he was gassed every shift. Legs heavy, hands fumbley and brain cloudy haha

Half a dozen games into a two year contract. Certainly feels like a disconnect.

That's what I thought. Nothing about his game looked good.

I thought they brought him up too soon. A guy with confidence issues coming off a major surgery, let him spend the next couple months getting lots of minutes in the A and building his confidence.

Dubas is about to make some moves. He will likely have a spot cleared for him by the deadline.

I forgot to post this the other day, Madden says Jakes injury is a broken pinkie finger. TIFWIW.

I would not be mad at all if the pens signed him for the remainder of the year. I would rather see him on the ice than several guys. This team is not making the playoffs. Sign him to a PTO, then a contract and send hinestroza, white, gruden...whoever down. Would be more fun to see if he could mesh with sid or geno for sure. let him stand in front of the net on the PP. (please still take PP away from reirdon)

Would rather see Jagr in the line up. I bet he still has better metrics than harkins, gruden, white or puustinen. Can jagr score less than reilly smith? or rackell? Not likely. PTO please.

That last game was the second of back-to-back nights. JP probably not conditioned for that yet. Giving somebody like him occasional nights off is not a bad idea.

The team really doesn’t need this distraction right now. These guys should be blood thirsty killers at the moment. Save the heartfelt BS for BJC night next season.

I agree they probably don't need this right now and that they should be bloodthirsty. However, nights like tonight are planned way in advance of knowing how a team is going to be playing around the time of the special night. I think they can be both bloodthirsty and enjoy this at time as well... Whether that's the reality of it, or not, we shall see...

I fully support the PTO idea, though doubt they'd do it. But if they ever do become mathematically eliminated...hell, give him a few games.

Felt the same way when Forsberg couldn't skate anymore. Just stand him at the blue line and let him make amazing passes all night.
