Doubtful that anything is imminent. The AHL's break started today, so they were still playing. Rooney and Schwindt are because they need centres. Pachal is probably an upgrade over Osterle and Gilbert. Even if he's not, he's younger and will be an RFA instead of a UFA. He's also basically a bargain bin Tanev and can be just slotted into that spot whenever Tanev gets moved.

Unfortunately, Coronato isn't coming back up yet. Maybe he just really wanted to play in the All-Star Game.

Great management. I think we may see more movement now that the Allstar freeze is over. Exciting time to be a Flames fan.

Osterle has been a huge disappointment, not sure what they see in him.
As for Coronato, he needs to put on some muscle, the size and quickness of the NHL game have been tough on him. You’re right though, he will stay for the Allstar game and probably be called up after.

Osterle has been great for the tank. He should stick around. Agree on Coronato. He needs to be stronger on the puck.

Holy crap Lanny Macdonald got lucky & had a scare yesterday after having a coronary event at the Calgary airport coming back from the All-Star game. He got lucky two nurses were there to help them.

Thank you Sir. I am excited to see if Kuz and Hubs can find some chemistry.


After reading on Reddit, some Van fans were saying that Kuz did not train properly over the summer and that he came into camp somwhat out of shape.

Also, I understand he is really good infront of the net and has a good set of mitts and is also a good set up guy.

I understand he does not drive play, or forcheck much so maybe trying him with Backlund and Coleman might be something to try if things do not work out on his current line.

Read a report that theres little to no trade interest in Vladar. Do you keep Markstrom and put Vladar on waivers, bring up Wolf to learn from Markstrom while Vladar holds down the fort for the Wranglers?

I am thinking they need to get Wolf in the big leagues. Supposedly his agent was female doging when the Flames did not put him in last time he was up.

IMO they need to give both Vladar and Wolf more games to figure out what they are.
