But if you were called at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and told that this is what it would’ve taken to bring Lindholm to Boston, where an extension would surely await him based on how Sweeney operates, would you have done it?
No
Last year has shown everybody that anything can happen in the playoffs no matter what your record is in the regular season.
Stop hemorrhaging first round picks, try to stay healthy before and during playoffs…and hope for the best.

NO on trading for Lindy.
Sign him this summer when he hits FA, or if Van signs him, then relish watching them sink in the standings when they have no depth on their team.
Why?
Summer cap space $36M 11 players signed
Petey 8 x $11.5M
Lindy 8 x $9M
Hronek 8 x $7.5M
$8M left to sign 8

No.

As much as I'm enjoying this season (and I am) this is fools gold. A retool is needed and wasting prospects like Lohrei, Poitras and any more firsts is not the smart play.

They need to stay the course, draft and develop a 1C. Or you hope there is a Marc Savard type of signing they could pull off.

Even with an extension, the bruins would have to give up at least one great prospect/young player and a 1st. Youth is not something they can afford to part with right now, especially the young players who have shown they are on the cusp of staying with the team.

Add a little cheap depth, let this team show they can get it done. If its another first round exit then oh well. They should save a bigger trade (perhaps Ullmark) for the draft to maybe move into the first round and grab a center.

Fine with not overpaying for a trade.

That 2nd goal was just brutal.
And forwards started the fiasco in Flames zone by giving the puck away.

Oh FFS too many men on a power play.

It's laughable.

Just what in the hell was that last night?

Another too many men penalty during a power play. If I'm Neely I'm calling in Monty and his staff and open handed slapping the poop out of them. C'mon...this crap is unacceptable at this level.

Last night was a clown show. Just a mess.

Its funny. This team this year overall has been great to watch. Then they come out and lay the biggest turd you can imagine like they are a throw together beer league team. I cant even be mad, I'm just impressed that they have it in them to be that bad every once and a while.

Every aspect of that game is on the coaching staff. They were completely unprepared to play and I blame Monty for that one.
