Looks like Olofsson on the 4th line and Greenway on the 3rd again because that’s worked so well and Olofsson is a much better forechecker than goal scorer.
Mitts must love playing with the worst skater in the league

Don’t let Crosby whine and dive while putting up a three point night?

Do better, man.

Sabres fans had a pretty good run on this site with Pachla and Balling. Both had interesting and insightful takes, and put out content regularly. This guy spends too much time trying to be clever in every sentence while failing to actually put any coherent thoughts together. At least Garth was good for a laugh. This guy is just unreadable.

I would pass if I’m the Sabres. We have enough players similar to Pinto, and with the baggage he brings… not worth it to me. Chabot makes $8 million per year…. If we are going to bring in a salary of the amount and duration… you need to get more. I would much rather the Sabres call Calgary about Andersson or Tanev. I don’t think many teams would use Samuelsson as anything more the a bottom pairing guy.. and his $4.4 million makes him difficult to move

Maybe, but the kid was barely 160lbs dripping wet when they Drafted him. Even with the weight he's put on since he's gonna have adjustments in the AHL. He still needs to add 10-15lbs IMO.

Who do you think heads into camp in a better situation to push for a job, Ostlund off a year in the SHL, or Savoie off a year in the WHL?

Ostlund, Savoie, Rosen, Kulich competing for 1 top 9 spot sucks to imagine, but I could see any of them winning it on merit....and then merit not mattering again.

The @AmerksHockey have suspended defenseman Nicolas Savoie with the intention of terminating his American Hockey League contract at the request of Savoie to pursue educational opportunities.

Players quitting already

In the last 20 years, what is the highest # of drafted/developed players on any of the Stanley cup winners? I’m too lazy to do the research but would love to see the results. Obviously Vegas doesn’t count.

Stank doing stanky things. Chance at 30 goals at the halfway point of the season. But autographs or something.

Kulich and Rosen aren't the clear frontrunners to make the roster next season?

Sorry I don't pleasure you. Put your boots on and do the work. Tomorrow will be a big day. The Steelers are up against it.

Comrie is fighting back:

Eric Comrie spent most of his postgame lauding teammates Tyson Jost and Jacob Bryson: “It just surprises me that those two aren’t in the NHL right now, especially those two guys right there.” #Sabres

Interesting, that was almost rhetorical. I think it's Ostlund by a wide margin.

Use your youth and speed as an advantage.

Not that speed is necessarily a major indicator of team quality, but Buffalo is about the slowest team in the league. Pittsburgh is pretty average but they are a much faster team.

I would agree with 36 that it's Savoie, at least at the start of camp.

If Ostlund looks much better during camp and Savoie does not, then things change, but that aside, they absolutely love Savoie.

I hope Ostlund explodes in Camp, but I would be very surprised if he saw any NHL Time next year, well unless we suck again. IMO

2 injuries so far + a year in the WHL seems like a lost year to me.

Ostlund's stock is up, Savoies down atm.

Savoie has to stay Healthy, I don't think Savoie has anything to do with what happens with Ostlund. They will play different positions and that will affect things more than anything.

They are competeing for the same spot(s) (if they even exist).

Does KA have a good plan for these kids? I doubt it, so expect more procrastination and blocking.
