Really liked Solovyov’s game the other day, though not as big as Zadorov, still a physical stay at home defenseman.

They were talking on Barn Burner the other day that Hanifin knows he had 8 years @ $60mill(7.5/year) on table. But they dont think he will get $60 mill over 7 as that would mean sum team would have to cough up over $8.5 per over 7 years. Little steep for Hanifin. But July dumb GM's will over spend on UFA's. So trade & sign would be in all parties best interests in a transaction.
With the Bruins, I could see Hanni signing that offer in a heartbeat. The question is, what will Bruins give up. My thoughts were they have no picks, fine that wouldnt faze Conroy if package is good. If we move both Tanev & Hanifin, we are going to be pretty slim pickings for that 2nd pairing. So my genius is how about an extended Hanni at no more than 8 years @ 7.5mill per. We get Carlo, 4.1 mill cap for 3 more years after this, slots into 2nd pairing, Debrusk, UFA at end of year, we can see how he fits in & if he's willing to extend. if not, I would imagine a 2nd & 3rd at the TDL is doable. Then Boston has to cough up either Poitras or Lohrei(who would be my target)
No picks & Boston gets Hanifin without getting into any bidding wars come July & they also gain 3.0 mill in cap space, which would be huge for them as they are cap strapped right now. Just my 2 bits. |

I’d be ok with that.
We still have an injured Poirier, which is really too bad as this is a golden opportunity

I saw that on another site earlier today but didn’t know if it had been confirmed. Gotta let the kid roll after posting that + .900 save percentage. Good on Huska. |

Still lots of space for Poirier to win a spot. I would normally want a 1st ++ back for an extended Hanifin. But in typical Flames fashion, his hard on for Boston really puts us in a rental return at best. I think Colorado should go hard for Lindholm, they have a great chance for a cup & Lindholm would fit hugely in their top 6.

Is it me or is this team leaning closer to suck. They have managed to win some games with come backs but that is not really sustainable.
Lindholm has been a shadow. Hubs looks like is a beer league star that is mistakenly playing in the NHL. Mange also seems to be underwhelming?
I would be extremely concerned if ownership thinks this is a playoff team. |

7 games left before Christmas that includes tough games against Col, Vegas, TB, FLA and LA. Their going to need 8 or 9 of those 14 points to maintain any hope IMO.

Don't look now but the Oil are tied with Calgary with games in hand. 7 in a row, Oilers are back. Look out NHL. |

I’d be pretty pissed if the Oilers got another top 10 pick, although they’d probably Fuk it up as well. |

Probably more the media calling them Stanley Cup favourites. Team started the season figuring it would be easy especially opening angainst the Canucks. Little did they know that Tocchet had his team ready and Woody had McSlumper and Driababy floating around the ice.
Woody should have been fired after the Oilers were bounced in the playoffs last year, he had no system or answers for the Knights, totally blew the series. |

Mcd and Ekholm were both playing injured during the bad start. They both seem better now.
That wasn't the only issue but definitely made it all a lot worse.

It’s all coming together.
Flames will definitely be selling some assets. Lindholm picking up his play, likely be getting a 1st and decent prospect. |
