And even when we do score it gets called back.. which is really starting to bug.

Got to get back on the beam tonight against the Habs...

Be nice if AK started to do something to earn that scratch he is getting...

And lets not play from behind tonight.. huh fellas.

I don't think this losing streak will last long. Hockey is a game of adjustments, execution, talent, and conditioning. And It's especially true in the regular season. 82 games pushs to the extremes of what a body can handle. And to be honest I think the Ducks just burned themselves out a little in the first dozen games and now there paying a price. They gotta pace themselves out to do 82 games. Now other teams are gonna start slowing down to. Usually after the Christmas break everything kinda evens out as far as fatigue and injuries go. You'll see teams with playoff hangovers start getting there legs back. Then faster more rested teams will start feeling the burn too.

But if the Ducks really wana try for a playoff spot then there gonna have to get out of their funk they're in pretty soon. To do that they got to up there possession times in the offensive zone. They were using the legs to create space in the first 12 games to make plays and use the skill that they have to create high quality scoring chances. But hustle only got them so far. Now they gotta play smarter. Like move pucks quicker, use bigger stronger players hold onto the puck, faster smaller players need to move better without the puck, win more board battles, ect. Without better possession times things aren't gonna change. And the aren't a fast team either. They really middle of the pack when it comes to speed. And alot of that speed being in the defense core. So Ducks defenseman are gonna play a important role as far as puck movement and zone entries go. But Still it's a young team. And adjustments are slow to come. And the skill and depth is there. Plus Zegras and Drysdale are missing so that's some hope that they come back and give this roster a boost. Maybe move Zegras back to center with Terry. That would give the Ducks a speed line. With McTavish, Strome, Vertano being more of a 2 way line. And move Carlsson down to the third line center with Killorn. Spread talent out through 3 lines. With the 4th line being a checking/ defensive line. Just something to think about.

Welp. That game in Edmonton was a stinker. Bad game plan by coaches plus bad execution by players. And helping out the oilers might prove to be a fatal mistake. But we move on. This is the kind of game you need to throw in the trash. Just bad data. I mean unless you wana rail on the coaches or players which I don't feel like doing. So get'em next time Ducks.
