League totally hosed us with that schedule… come on…insane….

That said … Dostal needed to be nails and except for a couple big saves … he wasn’t …

that first goal was terrible, and really took the wind out of our sails -

Still, it was only a one goal game halfway through…. If we could’ve done anything with the PowerPlay, perhaps the outcome would’ve been different.

Still we’re playing pretty well-

My computer nerd son looked it up in the NHLPA manual. That is the absolute worst travel day you can have! 1000 miles and 2 time zones! If they would have flown 10 more miles, they would have been entitled to a day off. My son also tried to see if any other team had to do something similar travel-wise. and, of course, no one does.
My only complaint though was the Carlsson scheduling. Why the hell didn't they play him against Nashville? The Ducks ended up winning the game but I think they would have had an even better chance playing Carlsson and then giving him the day off for a game that even Ducks management knew they were going to lose.
On a side note, I'm getting a perversive kick out of Adam Fantilli's complaining about the Blue Jackets pathetic play. Hey kid, be careful what you ask for!

Yeah, I haven’t given two poops about Fantilli, since I read he tried to jam the ducks..
18-year-olds don’t always make the best decisions…

I happily admit, I was totally wrong on Leo…Beast …

Just another normal day at the office for this group in Nashville. You wonder what it would look like if they consistently played the first 30 minutes the same as the second 30. The Colorado game was an L the day the schedule was posted. Burn the tape and move on.

I think a lot of us (including PV) are surprised by how good Carlsson is out of the gate. Remember, in early September it wasn't a given that he would even be on the roster. He needs to add a little bulk and he's a work in progress on D and face-offs, but his vision and hands are elite and his shot is better than any of the scouting reports.

Most importantly at this point, they're fun to watch again (most of the time).

All of this regarding Carlsson. I told a guy I sit next to at the Ponda that GMPV drafted the right guy. One thing I love about Leo is his reaction when he hits the post or just misses a shot. He has a perplexed look on his face, almost like he's saying, " I can't believe that didn't go in!" He's going to be great!
