Good turnaround from that Flyers game, which was their worst game of the season. They might not have beaten a motivated Flyer team, who got punked by San Jose in their previous game, but even in the Ducks' losses, there has been competitiveness and pushback. There was none of that against Philly.
Something else I wanted to point out was the newfound depth of this team. Think back to last year, how many games would Anaheim have won without Zegras and Drysdale last year? Any number near zero is the correct answer. This year, both Drysdale and now Zegras are on LTIR and it's OK. It's not great, but it's OK. I like that!

Depth is nice and better than that ... quality depth. If we could ever get Z on track and Mr. March of Dimes Drysdale back, this team will really be something.

That Philly game was a horrific flashback to last yrs Swarm team - just gross.

As it stands the best lines have been the 2nd and 4th.

Something else I've noticed sans Z and Jamie... we seem to have a better training staff so far this yr... it seemed like last yr every day another injury and even though we are playing a harder more physical style guys are healthier...

Now that may be because a lot of guys came from other teams and had better training and support ... I hope that is not the case .. but I'll take healthier guys -

Nice to see Gibson back on track and in the top 10 in SV% and GAA. Looked a little like the old Gibby Sunday night, stoning two breakaway attempts. Of course, it was San Jose, but still...

The compete level is the big story, whether Z or Drysdale are in or out of the lineup. They're still giving up way too many quality scoring chances, but they're working harder at both ends and it's showing in the results.
