Brad Lohr: Sabres Fans Mourn the Loss of Rick Jeanneret
- Brad Lohr

Nice blog Brad. Hope you’re doing ok with everything else going on in your life.

Honestly, I am not sad today. What a legacy he left. You couldn’t possibly ask for anything more out of a life. His calls will live forever. With all the calls I’ve listened to either on YouTube or WGR today, OHHHHHHHHHH Campbell, Cookie Monster Strikes Again, any of the LalalaFontaine or any of his fight play by plays are among my favorites. Us 40 somethings benefited the most from his calls. We grew up right in his wheelhouse.

One of my all time favorites. May he rest in peace and all the best to his family.

Damn getting Text messages from my Brother and Friends about RJ. Remembering those nights in the basement or Driveway playing Hockey pretending RJ was calling the game. Getting yelled at by your Mother telling you it's bed time and begging for 5 more minutes.

I'm a Los Angeles Kings fan but today I'm a Sabres fan as RJ is literally the reason I got Direct TV so I could listen to his calls. He was so fun to listen too and could make a Tuesday game vs Hartford fun especially with his fight calls. May he Rest In Peace and thank you Rick for the many memories.

Maybe only Richard Irvin ahead of RJ all time IMO. He was a legend.

RJ blasting Razor all the time was classic, but RJ and Ted Darling was great also. God Speed my friend, I was lucky to meet him 2 times.

Gary Thorne is one who bounced around a bit and does a lot of sports and should be on that short list for hockey announcers

Bulldog showing the obvious love and passion he has for the Sabres and RJ. It shows when he runs the show solo when Schopp is out.

We were lucky to have RJ and Ted Darling for as long as we did. Those guys are the voices I hear in my head when thinking about my childhood. Rick, like Ted, will be sorely missed.

I thought he was the Orioles guy. Not sure because he got in trouble for something. He was awesome with Hockey and Baseball. He said the Schilling sock was a hoax on air during a game. Classic.

I knew he was at one point. Just didn't know if he still was.

EDIT: 2020 was his last year according to Wikipedia.

If they hire Tim Connolly as their forwards/power play coach….I see them as a contender
