Just wanted to throw a comment down here, I haven't posted in a little bit, but I am back, and things will be more consistent especially after Christmas. Had a family situation to deal with, then my little guy got pretty sick. All is good now, but Nova Scotia is an illness and disease-filled province right now. Everyone is getting pretty sick, non-COVID, but still a rough time. Let me know what kind of things you would like to see over the holidays from me on here. Rankings, lists, etc. Could do some fun things!

Jason, thanks for the article and especially letting us know which future Jets (?) are playing at the World Junior. I have been hunting all over the internet trying to find the final rosters.

You speak about Jonathon Toews potentially coming to Wpg. I have it from a very good source that Jomathan wants nothing to do with his home town Wpg. So I wouldn't count on that happening. Understand why - team does well, you get the accolations, fine; but team doesn't do well, or he doesn't, your family has to put up with the boo-birds and what not.

If the Jets do make a deal for a forward, think they might want to go short term. The cost would be less and guys like Kubalik, Horvat, , Domi, Olofsson, Nyquist, etc might be available.

Or do they take a big swing (doubt it) and go for a T. Meier, T. Konecny, or someone similar?

I think they might take a small swing which might cost them a Heinola and a roster player, or something along that line.

I'm glad your back and hope all is well with your little one.
I want to see how the Jets play with all their injured players back before making any big trades.
I would like to see them get more physical on their defense so a trade for Schenn would put fear into opposing forwards trying to set up anywhere near Helly.

Jets need help on RW sooner than later. Make the move before the christmas trade freeze - the advantage is getting a jump on the market, more games to settle in before the playoffs, less games played with players in a spot over their ceiling.

Two ideas i like that the jets can manage withing cap:

Boeser - fantastic shot, scorer, young, needs a fresh start

Smith, currently on waivers, familiar with west, typically about a 40-50pt/82 game player, very low ice time this year, needs a restart

My feeling is that we can still spare a d-man, one of pionk, heinola, schmidt, cappobionco. most likley heinola that gets moved.

From the forward group any of harkins, eyessymont, Axel F, stenlund, gagne, Kulman are available

from draft picks - any pick after 1st round, (keep the 1st)

from prospects - i really don't know enough about them to comment

*edit*
Boeser is from minnesota, seems to be an asset these days(?)
Smith is from nearby Wisconsin

Really be surprised if anything goes down before the Xmas break - starting at mid-night tonight. Actually, don't see teams making many moves till all-star break.

Boeser, interesting yes - two more years on current deal. Smith, no, for me!

Not sure who we might send the other way, but likely Heinola for one, and like you said, maybe a Harkims and a draft pick (not a #1) - and add a mid-level prospect.
