If there is a bidding war then someone will overpay. Saying you’d prefer not to overpay makes sense. Calling that a joke doesn’t make sense. Name me one trade involving a top 4 d man with term that didn’t seem like an overpay. |

He's not terrible. Good shot, can skate, just poor defensivley, not what is needed. Dubas might want to concentrate on a defensive RHD with some real grit.

Best case scenario is to make a 3-way trade deal...(mentioning only major pieces)
Leafs send Gardiner to team X,
team X sends a forward to Carolina,
Carolina sends Faulk to Leafs.
That way we keep all forwards intact.

Any deal for Faulk scares the heck out of me. Faulk addresses none of the Leafs defensive frailties. His defending is not his strong suit. He’s a RH version of Jake Gardiner. Not good |
