Do the Leafs truly need another high paid forward ? Defence is the issue with this squad.

If we miss out on Tavares......I say it’s a blessing in disguise ! We have our own drafted and developed players on this team and more on route !!

Shore up the D, limit the shots against and when the times comes to acquire some depth at the TDL..you jump on that opportunity.

I understand the “acquire JT” and flip one of younger players for a bonifide RHD idea....however I’m not convinced this is the route to go !!

Might as well keep me blocked mike b'y if ya back at the Kadri thing again..

It's pretty simple.

You can never have enough talent.

Does adding another superstar cause cap problems?

Yes.

But I'd rather have cap problems than talent problems.

The addition of Tavares could allow Dubas to move Kadri for defensive help, but his contract and cap hit ($4.5 Million AAV) are a bargain for a two-time 30 goal scorer.

I don't know about you, but this is a statement saying they won't trade Kadri because of his production and contract. Calm yourselves.......
