Marty is retired. Start by eliminating the stupid trapezoid.

Personally, I'm glad they got rid of the two line pass being called. That led to more stoppages per game then was tolerable.

Always enjoy the read, Jay.

I think removal of the red line sped up the game and cut down on stoppages. As one poster remarked about the trapezoid, I believe the goalie should be fair game when he strays from the net. Also, the goaltenders’ equipment needs to be downsized. At this rate, they could put a sumo wrestler in pads, and players would nothing to shoot at.

One other team you didn’t mention that was full of small, speedy guys.... the smurf, Sabres.
