Such a great city, the next few years of disgrace will pass. Maybe a downtown arena. And then respect and glory will return to the Senators(maybe change that (frank)ing name though). Every senate in every country is a (frank)ing disgrace. This is a terrible thing to name your hockey team after.

Great signing. A no-brainer to at least add depth to the team.
I thought that Wideman was playing exceptionally well to start last season before his injury.

Agree

Wideman is a very underrated D-man. If he stays healthy and works on his consistency he is a SOLID PP quaterback on the 2nd PP

Of course it's the guy on the 1st PP that needs to be resigned

Technically they are not allowed to resign him until July1st, which is one year away from when his contact would end. I assume news would leak out a bit early though that he was planning on signing (or not), whichever the case

Apparently he's only interviewing with six teams and none of them are Ottawa. Not sure if it was a troll or just wrong info.

Leafs, Boston, Dallas, Tampa Bay, San Jose and Nashville. Are rumored to be the teams he's interviewing but apparently he still wants to stay with the Islanders, just keeping his options open.

It would be awesome for sure. Personally I think Ottawa (After we sign Karlsson), should be in a a ROR or a player like that, we need to make up ground for what we lost with Hoffman
