Agree that Anderson played the best of any goalie in Ottawa, especially when it counted.

I was expecting him to bounce back from last year's performance and help stabilize the team this year. If he leaves, well, things just keep getting more interesting.

Considering that the Calder trophy winner Matt Barzal was selected with the pick from the Griffin Reinhart trade and the Hart trophy winner Taylor Hall was the result of the Adam Larsson trade, Edmonton would be the best trade partner. Chiarelli has set the gold standard for trading down.

Retain half and trade him to Toronto, then we could have a goalie tandem of Andersen and Anderson. Not only would it be a great title for an 80s sitcom, it'll confuse the poop out of the clueless members of the fanbase. LoL

Nothing states we have to trade him, but ... he wasn't exactly a bright spot last season. And he could bounce back next season like he's known to do, despite turning 37 (I'd say not quite as likely). Seems like a low-pressure trade situation to me.
