Goaltender Craig Anderson has expressed his desire to move on from the Senators, @theathletic has confirmed. That's usually the case when the agent is working on trying to find a deal, as @frank_seravalli reported a little while ago.

It is why I find all the Sens trade speculation so hilarious. First step should be targeting a player without any sort of NMC.
The other funny part is expecting full value for Karlsson. That becomes even more funny when you hear they are still trying to get teams to take Ryan. |

Paul Martin has been placed on unconditional waivers by San Jose for the purpose of terminating his contract.

“We had counted on Miro (to) challenge for a spot on the Leafs next year. He was great for the Marlies.” “I don't begrudge his decision whatsoever. I think it makes our situation more lucrative for both centers and wingers in free agency that are may be looking at our situation.” - mikeinbuffalo
OK, really nitpicky here, but what a franking stupid thing to say.
Why would a GM say that losing a player makes it a more "lucrative" situation for free agents looking to come to Toronto?
Do you ever admit that you are now willing to pay more?
I'm assuming he meant "attractive" - but holy frank, THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE STANLEY CUPS!!!!

It's even worse in Sensland.
There are guys in the thread who are reading tea leaves, pointing to obvious signs that Karlsson is now staying. |

If the Sabres dont trade ROR today, they aint trading him.
I dont think they trade him at all but "pro" hockey fans apparently thing Cs that play 25 mins a game, plays PP and PK grow on trees - I remember 2006 Conference Finals when the Sabres couldn't win a faceooff to save their lives..... unless its a super sweet deal - we have enough picks, enough time rebuilding, lets start playing.......you trade ROR, you better at least get Max Pac (with an extension) back and or #3 - toss in Drouin for Risto, cool....no BS tho. - -JCDC-

On the plus side at least now Sens fans will be able to see that he's an over the hill goalie that shouldn't be relied upon to make them any better than they were last year. |
