Provy is so over looked by the national media, but I have a feeling that is about to change. |

On Wednesday, there was a grand opening event for the brand-new Texas Hockey History Center and Alumni Center at the rink in Farmer's Branch. Several Dallas Stars Alumni Association members, including goaltender Ed Belfour and forwards Jere Lehtinen, Vern Fiddler and Bob Bassen will be attending the event to help unveil the new Dallas Stars Alumni Locker Room as well as the Texas Hockey History Center, which celebrates the history of the game of hockey in the Lone Star State.
What is Mike Modano up to these days? |

The missus asked what are we doing Friday night. I told her that I have no idea what she is doing, but I'll be watching Ron Hextall and Chris Pryor work their magic.
She just rolled her eyes, as usual.

Possibly, but I doubt it. These things, unless it's a major, massive deal, usually seem to go down to the wire. Other than Ottawa maybe moving Karlsson, I don't think anything will happen until the draft begins or just before it starts.

I was thinking about Karlsson. If they move him today and get a 2018 1st rounder in the deal would they move 4 to Colorado so they can get a chance at Hughes next draft since they will be bad this year. |

They might, probably depends on how high a pick they get in a Karlsson deal.

I guess. I just think since there isn't a huge difference from picks 4-20 that I would rather take my chance at getting someone like Hughes next year. |

It's still a relatively slim shot you get him. Ottawa could finish with the 28th record in the league next year, have a couple teams leapfrog them in the lottery and end up picking 6th for example. If I'm Ottawa and I'm going to give back the 4th overall pick, I want at least another top 10 pick coming back in the Karlsson deal. |

Does Simmonds have list of 12 teams he'll accept a trade to or 12 teams on his no trade list? I've seen it reported both ways. |

Cap near 80 million gives the Flyers roughly 22 million in cap space currently
By my estimation, the Flyers could possibly be below the cap floor |

Still amazed at which how little the flyers gave up to pick 4th and got Pickanen. Rusty was an ok player but nothing special and two seconds meh. |

The cap has made draft picks the coin of the realm. |

It was a different time. Young players and draft picks, generally, were secondary to established NHL players. Plus, with no salary cap, it wasn't as important to have cost-controlled players. |

Knowing the Flyers for all these years and most here can contest, if the Flyers make a trade it's going to be a "Woah did not see that coming" trade. Otherwise it will be nice and quiet draft with some minor pick movement here and there. |

The Flyers have traded Claude Giroux to the LA Kings for the negotiating rights to UFA Mike Richards? |

Welcome back to that same old place that I laughed about....
Missed all of the good prognostication.
My wish list:
Somehow add an Impact player to help as a supporting cast member....
someone way better then Weise or VDV.
A goalie of made of bones, tendons and muscles not glass.
