Great stuff as always Bill, thanks.

Unless the Flyers make a deal that ends up with them holding a pick in the 35-40 range, I don’t see any chance of them taking Noel. I’d look to a team holding multiple late firsts or early seconds like DET or NYR potentially drafting him.

So at least Hexy wont be fired immediately if he doesn't take Noel.

Agree. Just don't see it with the Flyers. Too many other guys that just bring more all around game or have higher upsides.

Noel is really the only guy in the 19 range I'll be disappointed if they take. Just seems like he's projected to go there mainly because of his size. And this is coming from someone who thinks this team needs to get bigger too...

I have been waiting to see how long it would be until Noel is mentioned. 2nd or 3rd round. Avoid big projects, this is not the NFL or NBA where physical attributes can make up for abilities.

Oh did you know the Flyers like their big tough guys says every terrible mock draft.

You are not alone. I would rather them trade 19 then have them select Noel.

Happy to see your insight about Ratcliffe, Bill. Especially reading you believe he could be a 20-30 goal scorer 😍

Agree. If my guy isn't there, then I would move back and get more assets.

Noel looked like he regressed from his early season success...Still a decent prospect. I would rather the Flyers keep focusing on speed and skill. With The Flyers and first round picks you just never know....they have proven in the past to think out side the box and obviously have a different ranking system then the other 29 teams. One thing is for sure...Hextall and this team should have the trust of the fan base, if results over the last 4 drafts are any indication...they've earned it.

I still have a feeling that Matt Strome may end up being the steal of that draft.

Bill, could you see Wahlstrom on their radar? Potentially worth moving up for if he is there at 10?

I saw a few of his game last year in Guelph....like a 25 minute drive...He looks a tad awkward, but although not pretty to watch, he's got a really good head for the game.

I think he will be a solid NHL contributor. Also I was excited to see Allison until he got hurt. I thought he was close to NHL ready with his size and skills.

That would be fantastic. Hitting on a draft with Patrick, Frost, Ratcliffe AND Strome would be unreal.

If he can get his skating up to just mediocre at the NHL level, he will be a player and an all out force on the pp.

Not sure how good Strome may become, but the possibility of him being the best Strome brother is still there.

I remember the whole Dan Hamhuis thing.

I never felt Hamhuis was the type of player that warranted the fuss made over him.

Good size and wheels, but nothing special in the hockey sense or skills dept.

I would more likely expect them to take a defenseman at 19 like Sandin if they go forward with the first pick. Although if someone like Denisenko or Kravtsov is available, they might be too good to pass up.
