But even if they are the last team, Barry has to want it.

Will be curious to see if he takes the old "I want to spend time with my family" route hoping teams will fire their coach and get into a bidding war with the Islanders. These Isles owners seem to be on a mission and you would have to think they would easily triple Trotz' 1.8M salary for the purpose of cementing JT's return as well as attracting free agents. The pressure will be less as the Isles have only advanced once past the first round since 1993. An EC final or Cup appearance would be huge. Add in a brand new building in 3 years, a state of the art practice facility and the Isles job looks pretty good.

I think its safe to say JT doesnt want to wait around even more after wasting half his career on that poop hole franchise.

Well yeah, but what's the point in speculating about who may or may not fire their coach because they may or may not want to make a play for Trotz.

Right now there's one opening and it's with the Islanders.

Why would it be certain Tavares wants Trotz? Trotz has had pretty much a top 2/3 team in the league for 3/4 years & has only now just won't the Cup without sniffing the SCF In that time. Been plenty wrong with his coaching for a while.

Because he is a Cup winning coach and did a very nice job with the Preds when they did not want to spend money. JT would be crazy not to want to play for Trotz.

How long before Eichel wants to leave Buffalo? He can demand a trade whenever he wants.

I don't know about that. As I said, hes had arguably a top 2/3 team for the last 4 years & never sniffed a final until this year. I'd even suggest he's changed his staff this year or someone's is doing something different.

If JT wants to win or play serious playoff hockey, I doubt Troyz will get him there. He's better changing colours & go to a ready made contender which he can do.

I have doubts Lou is some type of messiah you guys are painting him out to be as well.
