I know I missed most of the glorious debate on the supposed lack of experience in the management structure but two quick adds.

Babcock still has a seat at the table, a voice included in the discussion. Dave Morrison for the time being is still head of professional scouting. Shanny is still the boss.

Pridham, Gilman and Shanahan have all spent considerable time working for the NHL itself networking, and making connections. There is no shortage of experience at the helm.

Sounds like they still control him if he comes to the NHL. This is a pretty slick way of letting him develop in the foreign league without adding him to the allowable team protection list this coming year and next. If he shows serious up side, Then he would make a great fit in 2 years. Depending upon whether he decides to come to the big league after that. And by the way, Let's Go Marlies!

He'd still be under 20 at the end of this year so he wouldn't be eligible to play with the Marlies due to the CHL/NHL agreement.
I guess he can still be loaned to his CHL team.

Rasanen does not turn 20 until March 2019, which means he will get the benefit of playing against adults in a professional league for two seasons, as well as potentially playing for Finland at the 2019 World Junior in Vancouver next December.

Impressive that the Marlies started the game 2-0 but now a minute in it's 0-0.
