Maybe Lyon just got sick of playing behind the pathetic bunch masquerading as the Phantoms last night. |

LHV is still waiting for the better O talent to come from juniors and college, the Marlies are that much better.
how would you like to be Tampa? Missed the playoffs last year, went all in this year and fell short again. Tampa will have to move some players.
who will they move? do you think the Flyers should target any of them?
we know Tampa and Philly have trade history. |

I’d love to be Tampa lol. They’ll be fine. They have prospects galore and a solid team. They will have to figure some things out on defense with all the ufa’s after next year but they are set to compete for a long haul
While I agree LHV is waiting on better forward talent. Something turned sour in this series. They are much better than they’re showing |

Tampa s blue line outside of Hedman is very average and guys 4 years ago were pretty good. The Russian dman has promise. |

There is no player more deserving than Ov in the entire league who deserves to get his shot at the Cup at least once. |

I agree, Tampa has prospects but the disappointment of not going to the cup and after their top 2 D it really falls off should make some vets available.
Who knows maybe there is some sort of package the Flyers can put together, Flyers might have to give up a D prospect and more to get back a good winger and more. |

They went into 3rd pd of Game 1 tied (and led briefly in 2nd pd) and went OT in Game 2 (never trailing in regulation). Losing both games takes a toll especially after that Charlotte 5 OT game. Phantoms had no legs at all last night and Marlies are a deeper team to begin with. Made for a very ugly game last night.

Or they do what the Caps did after repeated failures with arguably deeper rosters.... not overreacting, realizing at a run to the finals is largely about peaking at the right time and winning most of the playoff games that can swing either which way, and keep plugging as long as the window is open. |

Your right. Still not rooting for him
I’ve been wrong A LOT this playoff season. But I do not see how the caps are going to make the SCF a series. Vegas is going to nonstop hound kempny, Orpik and others on that back end into consistent turnovers. Vegas is locked in...and fresh |

Rooting for Vegas since Rd 2.
Take that teams waiting 20...30...40...50...1000 (Toronto) years to win the cup and some new team wins it in their first year. That's not luck, that's a plan and execution. |

Fleury has been incredible and the team is rested. Unless Fleury implodes, he should win the Conn Smythe irregardless of the series out come.

Oh that's another shining light. The one factor that ties the Penguins to winning cups. I guess you could call him their lucky horseshoe, pun intended. |

Yeah, exactly. If the Knights win the Cup in one year, it makes teams going on 40+ years look like poop. |

Caps in six. They willed themselves back into the series against Tampa, an arguably much quicker and talented team. Although I have absolutely no empirical evidence to support my claim, they seem destined. |

that was a god awful effort by the Phantoms last night. So disappointing.
Great that at least one Flyers prospect will be in the memorial cup final. Hopefully Strome joins Rubstov
Good for Ovi finally winning the ECF. I had Nashville winning the cup over Tampa and thought this was the weakest Washington team (not that they were bad) over the last 4-5 years so of course this is the Caps team that makes the finals |

I'm looking forward to the Phantoms team getting a group of young forwards next season. |

meh, I am still annoyed that every expansion team in the modern era had 4th liners to choose from for the most part but yet the NHL feels the need to set Vegas up (and Seattle next) to succeed from year one. Not saying what they have done isn't remarkable and a great coaching job but the rules were set up so they could get a goalie like Fleury, etc. The rules were set up so they could acquire additional draft picks. |

The Phantoms have been good overall for two years, but when they have bad games they can get really bad. I remember them giving up 10 goals in a Saturday night home game last season, one of the few games that were shown on WFMZ. |

I don't like the word "deserves." No player "deserves" it, imho. They earn it. Ovechkin and his team earned it. |

I watched the majority of the first period before switching over to TB/Washington. Neither game was really the outcome I was hoping for.
Best part of the game for TB was the Coburn manhandling Kuznetsov and ripping his jersey off and then throwing with (and losing to) Wilson.
Also, if that's not a Game 7, Wilson is getting tossed for abuse of officials. |
