I agree that, barring a complete meltdown, he should get the Conn Smythe win or lose.

Haha hard to remember when it happens once every 20 years!

Asked my caps die hard buddy about beagle and dsp. He said “haha man they are so bad it’s hard to watch. They grind and beagle wins face offs and that’s about it. I was just reading a thing about beagle. I’ll get it for you. DSP is way worse when he’s away from Ovie and kuzzy but I haven’t looked up stats from that that’s just from me watching”

No, I completely agree with him. I don't think they are good hockey players at all, but I do think they are upgrades over Rowney and Kuhn. They aren't players I would actively try to sign, but they are upgrades over Rowney and Kuhn, IMO.

I don't think the Pens need the niche penalty killer next year at all, and I'm someone who wants at least 4 solid options on the roster and a 5th who is at least potentially capable.

ZAR can take Kuhnhackl's role and Guentzel and Brassard both show promise and could use some minutes as the 5th and 6th guys. Bluegger and maybe Haggerty are options in WBS who might see time with injuries who also kill penalties.

If I didn't like our other penalty killers or thought he was really good at it (only Hags gets ace status for me among our forwards) I'd have Kuhnhackl back as the 13th forward. Don't need him at all though.

Yup I definitely agree definitely upgrades. But Like I’ve been saying from the start the blogs in season said and many agreed with which is now proven false by the final 4 teams that you can’t win with lines that bad in the playoffs. Which all 4 teams have done. We were talking about how you need your 4th line to be above 50% average analytics to win in the playoffs and I can get the quotes from many saying this was true. Feds has a quote saying Sheahan wasn’t good enough for 4th like Center let alone 3rd hahahahaha

If lightning make the finals I’ll be at game 1 and 2 May 28 and 30th... show up and if you are half as smart infront of a pro scout as you say you are on here I’ll get you in both games. 2 guys there will tell you where I played as well. Put up or shut up fat boy!

Feds thinks Sheahan is good enough for 3C... he was the one who told us he was going to be a Penguin months before the trade and told us why he would succeed... and he actually did.

The issue isn't that you can't win with those types of players on your 4th line... the question is "Does it give you the best CHANCE at winning?" I think that's more how this argument should be framed. Yes you CAN win with those guys on your team when your goalie is playing out of his (frank)ing mind (Fleury) or your top 6 forwards are snipping through the opposing tendies like swiss cheese. Of course there are going to be teams and instances where teams are successful with plugs on the roster, but do you REALLY believe having them on the team gives the Pens the BEST chance to win?

People tend to latch themselves to certain ideologies in sports all the time. Look at the Pens last year.. sure, they won the cup.. but do I want that roster entering the playoffs every year? (frank) NO. I would much rather have the buzz saw 2015-16 Pens that had threats to score on EVERY line. Why? Because it gives the Pens the best chance to win.

Your stats certainly point to MAF thru these 3 rounds. With just the eyes, Rask '13, Crow '13 and Quick '12 thru the SCF seem closer or on par with MAF thus far.

Go read what the Vegas GM says about Reaves as well in the Vegas blog. I guess McPhee shouldn't be anywhere near a hockey team either!

Steamer is just that, an alt that trolls & is just a little 'steamer'. Plus doesn't know poop about what he posts apparently.

Again shooting yourself in the foot guy... wake up... In this you are saying how bad of a GM he is for one move in it being that trade clearly. Does that mean Jim Rutherford is a bad GM and shouldn’t be around a team for his Reaves for a 1st trade!? What about Rutherford hiring Mike Johnston as his first coach of the Penguins!? How bad was that!?.... should he not be around a team either!?
