Carol Schram: Anders Nilsson backstops Sweden to gold at worlds; Canada misses a medal The Vancouver Canucks' Anders Nilsson and Elias Pettersson will both bring home gold medals, while Bo Horvat has to settle for a tournament filled with learning and personal growth as the 2018 IIHF World Championship comes to an end.

good social medias

im kind of ok with elias staying at home if he's truly not feeling it. i can see the merit coming in a year later with a hypothetical 60 pt rookie season (or even something like barzal) vs a lesser debut this year

He can put up points but he looked bad on a couple of goals scored on them.

His defensive game needs work but who cares, your drafting him (potentially) for his offensive talents, teach him defence over the next couple years while he gets stronger.

I had one glass of wine with dinner, that's enough. Wife took me out for steak and prawn dinner at the KEG.

Winnipeg has 9 RFAs with 19 mil in space. Laine and Wheeler also need contracts next year. Interesting offseason for them considering how far they went.

The almost "nit picking" over the most ridiculous things.

Sam Steel is one of the best players in the WHL. Defence is a team game.

He did leave the front of the net on the first goal. I've seen that done many a times in the NHL nightly.

He gets stripped on another goal. Not so great. The guy covering the player infront of the net is puck watching and doesn't even take his man but provides the screen on his own goalie.

He plays top pairing minutes against the best players in the Q every night and his team is now in the Mem cup and doing quite well.

I haven't seen one poster say don't take him. There has been posters (like me) that say he is a work in progress. If we select him he is about 3-4 years away.

I really don't understand how players like him fall that late into first round. He's a PPG player in his draft year with really good playoffs. Even in a deep draft like that, he probably should have been taken in the 15-20 range.

It was a fairly strong draft year . You have players like Bellows going at 19 and Howden at 27 and mistakes like PoolParty at 4

Oilers looking to move Kleffbom and the #10 for a top Dman . Too bad they don't think of Tanev that way.

Ottawa should take that and run. Ristolainen is another name being thrown out there

Sounds like the Canucks/Comets may need to find a new backup in Utica....Richard Bachman appears to possibly be heading the SHL for next season.

Klefbom, JP, 10 OA could probably get you Karlsson. Too bad you still don't have anyone who can play defence other then Larsson (including the forwards)

Chiarelli really (frank)ed the Oilers over. Too bad they've had such poor management, at the end of the day I don't really care but those players deserve better.
