give credit to Vegas, they made some adjustments and it worked. Up to Winnipeg to do the same for next game. |

Didn't Vegas ring three posts of their own? The west is the best and this winner should take the cup... |

There's so much female dogging about the reffing these days. I thought having more refs on the ice and the video reviews were supposed to make it better? Or is it just that the audience gets to see more of the calls and non calls because everything gets replayed? |

The biggest mistake that Maurice makes on home ice is that he begins line matching and does not let his team get into a flow. I also did not like how the defensive pairings were utilized. It appears that Buff and Enstrom were on lots with the Stastny line while the Morrissey, Trouba pair was on lots with the Scheifele line. Also, I think its time we all realized that Ehlers with Laine just does not work. Ehlers spends way too much time worrying about Laine and I think would do better on his own line. It might be lat to do this and I think they should experiment with it if they are leading and try the following lines:
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Tanev-Stastny-Laine
Ehlers-Copp-Armia
Perreault-Lowry-Little
The Jets also need to start shooting more on 2 on 1's. The number of non-shots on those plays is disturbing.
Ultimate thoughts for the day... |

Pete, the first goal was the product of Little, then Enstrom not getting the puck out when they had time to do so long before Stastny or Laine got involved. But, there's no benefit of crying over spilt milk anyways.
The Jets got a taste of what Vegas can do so they better become emotionally involved real frickin quick. The Jets have done a good job of rebounding all season long and it almost looks like the road is bit of a sanctuary for the Jets in the playoffs so I am looking for a good bounce back Wednesday.
I think Roslovic's speed and skill might be beneficial in the next game and Armia didn't impress me much last nite, so I am slotting Roslovic in for Armia Wednesday.
Game plan is to finish the checks on their top line as one poster said earlier and Go Jets Go! |

like many on here I look at the Little extension as the worst contract we have moving forward. NOT ANYMORE, here me out. I was thinking about how much 2nd/3rd line centers are getting paid and going for around the league, so I took at look at just a few in our division.
first we signed Little ( age 30 ) to a long term deal for 5.3 per. Little averages around 45 points give or take.
lets get this out of the way, Stastny is 32, averages about the same 45 points and I guarantee will sign for the same or more as Little.
Bonino, 30, 4.1mil per, averages 35 points
Turris, 28, 6mil per, averages 55 points
Anisimov, 29, 4.55mil per, averages 40 points
M.Koivu, 35, 5.5mil per, averages 50 points
Berglund, 29, 3.5mil per, averages 30 points
Hanzel, 31, 4.7mil per, averages 35 points
We can all see how having center depth is key in the playoffs!! Raslovic should absolutely be a key piece moving forward at center but Little is as well. I hope we all know ( not sure about Rexy ) but not re-signing Little and expecting Petan, Appleton, Dano, or whoever else on the Moose to fill that role would not have the same results.
and PLEASE remember Stastny waived to come here, for this playoff run only!! With Little signed or not he probably would not have chosen to end his career here, plus he puts up the same totals as Little and is 2 years older than Little.
Centers in the NHL are like top 4 D, you have to over pay for them. |
