Mark Schiefle was a Number 7 first round pick for the Jets
Heading toward the Cup and Stanley Cup MVP ?
Kempney was a healthy scratch in Chicago 27 times this year
Watching him in Washington leaves me confused
WTF ? - Colbyboy
Another stellar player development by coach Q,
Dirty cross check by Kempney but over he has been solid during the playoffs.
Q destroys his confidence and Trotts builds it and turns him into a solid defender.
I don’t get how management does see this time and time again.
I love Q for what he’s done but the sun has shined on is tenure in Chicago IMHO. |

It would almost be sadly funny if Kempny followed Daley's exit in like fashion and won a Cup. Not at all saying either are great, but it sure can make a person go hmmmmmmmmmmmmm…………………………………. |

Nice goaltending, Yzerman
But congrats on signing guys to team friendly deals. I guess you can do that when you don't win anything |

Isn't it more about what Washington is doing right. Total team commitment. And Tampa is very young throughout it's late lineup. But that is not necessarily a valid excuse. Cooper needs his team to perform as "all in" then his team would be a fair match.
Tampa has come from behind in past series within their last playoff years. The team's roster has changed this season, though, and Cooper has to find a way to get his group to play the way his opponent coach has convinced his players to bottle
up the attack.
There is a lot if talent on both teams. Tampa plays more like Washington has in this series, then you have a better match and the stars need to be difference or hi makers. |

Didn’t see the caps going up 2-0. Expected to be 2-0 they other way; 1-1 was best I though the caps could hope for in the first two.
Lightning needs to make some real adjustments or this will be over in 5 or less.
Interesting stat the announcers provided in third period: teams going up 2-0 have won the series 39 out of 41 times since at least the early 80s. Hard to overcome this kind of control. |

Ovi with Kuznetsov and Wilson is the best top line the Capitals have had. Kuzy > Backstrom and Tom
Wilson is an elite enforcer with talent |

Secord lite !Keep Wilson with those two guys and he’ll crack to 20 to 30 goal mark before it’s done. |

Any chance you think Hayden could model his game after Wilson? Does he have the skating and skill? |

Maybe like Cal Clutterbuck, Tom Wilson is a major league fighter, probably in the top 15 or 20 toughest in the league, Hayden, I don’t know how good he is what it comes to that, I know he won the fight over the kid in Minnesota but then He had a couple of more fights right after that and got cleaned up by lesser guys. But it would be nice if Hayden did turn out to be someone like Tom Wilson |

Yes Wilson was 4th line goon when he came into the league and not a great skater, so yes if hayden works on his skating and continues to play with an edge goes to the front of the net there is a chance he could become 20-25 goal scorer in the top six role if given a chance. Both about the same size think Wilson slightly bigger better fighter. Only time will tell. |

Don't care about that at all. Hayden has some size and a willingness to put a body on people. If he develops into a guy that has that element to his game and can provide some net front presence and chip in more scoring...now that would be great. |

Me either, watching the first 2 games against the Jackets their defense sucked, since Holtby being the starter 10-2, DAMN.
Maybe a little reminder of minus #1 goalie your team is going to struggle, hmm who lost their #1 goalie this year? |

I think Tampa 'should' already have a cup in the Stamkos era - they don't. It's a very expensive 4th line that just can't be sustained for more than a year or 2 as these young guns need to get paid soon.
If they don't win this season, I can't see them getting there again with the teams about to get really good in the east. Cooper should be relieved if he can't win with this group. As I said, they should already have a Cup with the team they've had for the last 4 years. |

You don't have to be able to fight with the current rules, as long as you have a big guy that's willing to hit on the edge of the rules consistently like Wilson does when he has to. He cleaned up ZAR & Oleksiak asked him to fight & Wilson said no thanks. Make a dirty hit & decline the fight. Classic Trotz hockey! The league is actually protecting the cheap shot grubs. So fighting no longer is required unfortunately. |
