and this is the only narrative repeated over, and over, and over, in the campaign for Hall's candidacy. Its nothing next to as impressive as the 47 point improvement Mack led his team to. And when you play center ice, and are the best player in the nhl this year as mackinnon was (without injury he wins art ross silencing any doubt), you make your teammates a hell of alot better which Hall didnt achieve.

Its amazing what a shoo in Mackinnon is even with the deepest Hart field in memory, his missing so much time to injury, the massive injuries to his team's best goalies and defense-men, the thunder dome of the Central division, the youngest team in the league he was leading, starting 7 rookies on the regular. leading the league with 12 gamewinning goals, including the last game of the year to seal the playoffs with a bar down snipe.

all that being said, Hall is the only legitimate challenger i see Mack has and I will be happy for him and the Devils if all the narratives ive explained above go ignored for the hall/hischier meme

That's fair. It is a toss-up. I really do not care who wins, if you are nominated, you are a stellar player. Been a while since either team had a hart nominee. I understand the oilers had a horrible year, but MCD is the best player in the game and I was suprised he was not even a nominee.
