He will be fine when We bring in better talent and he will be on the third pairing

Anyways ...

Niederreiter should be a good target in the summer

Perfect age and a female dog to play against and could play 3rd or 2nd line

I might have to rethink that I didn’t realize he was making over $5 million

I’m willing to keep him if they put him in the right spot which will be the third pairing

I think that is why (according to the reports) they were listening on him at the deadline

you willing to dish out $7m, or more, for Carlson?...or maybe the better question might be, is botts willing to dish out that kind of money for him?...or better yet, would he even sign in buffalo?

and, not so sure de haan would bump Scandella down

I really liked watching him play this year. It seems like defensemen can get stagnant in a group, and they don't really try new things. He brought some small, smart plays consistently. He moves pucks with his feet and he does the small plays to alleviate pressure well. He's definitely a second pairing guy, but he's a player that would make any team better. He definitely makes ours better

It’s not exactly that he will be pushed down by anyone, but more so the amount of LHD we have. He could most likely fetch the better return in comparison to McCabe and Blow-U. I mean if they end up getting Dahlin, could always move McCabe to the right once Bogo goes down 10 games into the year.

This.
iMO the hate for him posted on this board is unjustified.

Like Risto, he is a solid 2nd pairing...asking him to play on the 1st indicates the team is forcing another player to play one line higher than he should.

Even if they get lucky and get Dahlin, they still need a bonafide #2 partner for him, for the unit to be properly staffed.

Zach Bogosian - D - Sabres
Zach Bogosian was Buffalo's nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.

The award goes annually to the player who "best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community." Bogosian has done charitable work through "The Bogo Bunch Foundation" since 2015. The NHL will narrow down the list to three finalists on April 30.

7 million might be a little steep but he is definitely worth it that's if we can move 2 big contracts

More like the Bogo Bunch of Games Missed Foundation, amirite.

But seriously, good for him. He'll have plenty of time for philanthropy once he's bought out

Since we've all been having fun with these the last two weeks...

If I had to guess tonight...

1. Browns - Baker Mayfield
2. Giants - Sam Darnold
3. Jets - Josh Allen
4. Browns - Bradley Chubb
5. Bills - trade up with Broncos, Josh Rosen

Make it so

I will laugh so hard if the Jets end up with Allen

i would much rather have him at 7 than Bogo at his contract... but Botts doesn't like to use UFA to create a team just finish out a team. when getting the big fish in free agency you always over pay

Agreed. He's a fine defenseman. No need to run the guy out of town, he's a great middle pairing guy. Get one or two guys ahead of him on the depth chart (easier said than done) and all the sudden he's a great piece instead of a liability (playing over his head by necessity)

Mayars syndrome.

I liked Scandella. Reasonable cap hit, reasonable age, reasonable player. Second pairing is perfect for him but i guess we'll have to wait and see what Botts does this summer. If we get the luck of the Irish this Saturday night, it will create a chain reaction of good things that Botts can do to improve this club.

2 more days. It's driving me insane. All the rumors are bogus. Both the Sabres and the Bills keep an extremely tight lid on information. I don't know if you noticed, but there's been stretches all throughout the past couple months of "Bills really covet so and so" and each quarterback has been in the Bills' spotlight for about 2-3 weeks each.

Only one I think hasn't gotten the rumor was Jackson. Rudolph, Darnold, Allen, Mayfield, Rosen were all features in the "Bills love this guy the most" poop.

That is true he did say he would dip in maybe he will see the price for John Carlson and end up going with a lower cap hit in Calvin de Haan
