Just like game 5, pens were doing all they could to lose. Oleksiak, Murray, Letang, the goddamn posts... But they finally woke up. Much like the Rags series, it could have been so easy for this team to give up being down by 2.

On to round deux! hopefully simon/geno are all good and horny is back to 100%

brutal no call on the trip but honestly the game was lost long before then. dirty plays by both teams and hopefully the league cracks down on it.

Things continued to get worse for the Penguins when Claude Giroux blew up Carl Hagelin on an unnecessary hit with the puck long gone. It left Hagelin bloodied and Phil Kessel was given a retaliatory penalty for chasing Giroux. The only purpose of hits like that is to hurt the opposing player. The sport will be better long term without those. The same thing applies to the Kris Letang crosscheck.

If that cross check was called, then there is a good chance that hit wouldn't have happened. An honest attempt at cleaning up the league starts with calling stick infractions. Not excusing Giroux, but it's the reality of the situation right now.

worth pointing out, that phat phil didn't have the greatest of series. Granted Sid/G were tremendous, but at some point Phil needs to find his second gear. and Geno needs to keep calm and score.

Well that's part of what makes the Pens so deadly. Too much depth. You know Kessel will be due.

That was a hot mess from whistle to whistle. But what do you expect playing in that cauldron of pestilence, hatred, and bile. Every visit there you just6 have to collect the win and move on. Hope Hags is OK.

There were a half dozen missed calls on the Flyers. Letang took an awful board. Guentzal got punched in the face to start the 3rd. I saw a couple of blatant holds. Whatever...... we won and the orange menace is cleaning out lockers. It's a good day.

Carter Hart would be better than the scrubs they started this playoffs.
