Do you not know the rules of CBA? Doughty can’t even sign until July 1, so what the hell is the need to speed things up?

What does when Doughty can sign have to do with the fact the Kings just got swept in part because they couldn't keep up with the Knights speed wise? |

With EKs terrible writing I assumed he meant something else. |

The Ducks still have too much depth at defense. They have 2 open spots and at least 4 guys to fill them. |

Will Doughty do what Tavares has done & refuse to sign with the Kings? That would be very interesting |

The Wild are the best, unsettled team of the lot.
The Kings need to retool. They need to add speed and depth. Doughty could be the chip that gets them all of the parts they need. |

Doughty isn't going anywhere. Anyone and everyone close to the organization, including Doughty, has said so. Anyone who suggests otherwise is speculating (i.e. making poop up).
Now you can say that you disagree that it's the correct move for the Kings to make, but there is a 99.9% chance that Doughty is in a Kings uniform on opening night in 2019. |

Doughty already said he’d like to test the market, hard to imagine him leaving the Kings though if they offer him anywhere near what others are willing to throw at him. |

That’s what I thought too, but don’t follow the Ducks close enough to weigh in. |

Yeah. His assessment across the board is off for everything. |

It's not that the ducks don't have defensive depth. It's just that it takes soooooooo long to get a defense player up to speed to nhl competition. Players like welinski, petterson, Larson, have talent but need seasoning. Eventually you have to let them play. And they just didn't get enough this year. So we are going to have to let them next year.
Quite frankly I'm still pissed at Randy. He wasted this year by playing aging veterans. There were plenty of gulls that could have used the experience. This is why I don't want him back. But Bob is going to give him another year. Randy has a chance to prove the fan base wrong. But as the old saying goes "a leopard can't change his spots" |

It is a lot easier to gain the miseing parts - including speed - than to replace Daughty. When they win in playoffs it is going to be accomplished easier with Doughty than without. You loose Doughty means you are bad at managing your assets.
Kings are still reeling from D Sutter hockey.

Unless someone offers the Kings a deal that provides depth, youth and cap savings. |

Kings retained Voynov's rights since he departed for Russia while under contract. They'd have to trade the Kings for his rights, or wait until next offseason, when his contract with LA would have expired. |

I heard something a while back about he and Karlsson getting in touch with one another to discuss their free agent values . That doesn’t tell me he wants to move on from the Kings, just that he wants to get paid and hopefully laid. |
