There are three things that scare me and despite you being okay with Murray I am not convinced he can get it done as he has consistency issues. I hope Malkin is okay but I am sure he is in a little pain today avoiding a serious leg injury in the collision with Lehtera and finally Sid has to pick it up and I think he will. We need the pp to click on all cylinders.

Under normal circumstances I'd want Kuhn out of the lineup in place of Simon, but I have to say I'm against that right now. Kuhn has been one of the best PKers right now and adding some decent physical play, speed and retrieving pucks.

Sullivan has shown that he knows how to adjust after losses. The Pens do this all the time and they know what they need to do close out this series. Even if it goes seven games, they will close it out.

While I don't think the Pens played a bad game they did not match Philly's sense of urgency in the first period. We did not have 'puck luck' around the net either.

Your biggest shortcoming is that MA Fleury doesn't play here anymore. But what would a L:eaf fan know.

Goaltending has not been an issue for the Pens this series.

I really don't Neuvirth was a factor in the loss. He was GOOD, and while he made a couple of impressive saves, he wasn't standing on his head. The Pens didn't make life difficult on him. He's clearly very beatable.

To Philly's credit, they did a good job of clogging passing and shooting lanes around the net, but that's why the Pens needed to just attempt pucks on the net as much as possible. As long as something squeaks through they can create havoc.

Even Sid said today urgency was an issue. The Pens took their time looking for perfect plays rather than just causing havoc in front of Neuvirth. Especially getting Hornqvist back in the lineup they need to just get as many pucks on net as possible.

I think is was the ONLY issue to the Pens game.

Joe, you mentioned 3 concerns. Murray's consistency...he's been fine and is always good when it counts. Sid needing to pick it up...Seriously? The only legit concern is Malkin's health. But, they did pick up Brassard for a reason.
