That was a fun game!
Still, 2 weak goals against. Can the Flyers goalies please stop allowing 2 weak goals a game???

Out of our three NHL caliber goaltenders, I don't think one is that much better than the other. I also think Neuvirth is the least deserving of a playoff start. Heck, in relief of Elliot in Game 4 he allowed a brutal goal. |

Not sure I’m eating an omelette this morning....I had them getting pounded last night. But great for them. Hopefully that intensity can travel back across PA, because they’ll need that and far better refereeing job to take that game. |

And yet there he was last night....one of the key reasons they won. Go figure.

Not the Sidney Crosby type. Quite a few of the other furry little (frank)ers though.
Lots of big sharks with yuuge teeth as well. |

I’m confused by the Hakstol quote, about Neuvirth, Bill posted.
"We needed a mindset change, we needed to do everything we could to change momentum and that’s why Neuvy goes in. That’s a tough one on Moose tonight, but from that point on it’s Neuvy’s job to go in and try and close the door and give us an opportunity to dig ourselves back out and change the momentum. That didn’t happen tonight for us," said Hakstol.
Bill, or anyone here, why would the coach say this? What does the coach gain by criticizing the goalie who just won game 5? Is this meant to motivate Neuvirth or Elliott or the team in some way?
Edit: the more I think about it the more confusing it is. He says he changed goalies in the hopes that it would shake things up and motivate the team. It was a desperation move. Then he says it didn’t work? But they won. Wasn’t that the goal? Didn’t it work? |

Is this his way of saying Elliott may go in game 6?
Nuevy may have allowed 2 weak goals but he was still better then Elliott.
Neuvy made alot of momentum saves. Obviously none bigger then the save on Crosby with 50 seconds left. |

Roger that. I just listened to the post game interview of hak and he did nothing but heap praise on on Neuvy.

Really hoping to see 3 Flyers prospects in the memorial cup. Have to think we will see at least one with 3 of the final 4 OHL teams have one on their team. Frost vs Hart would be fun to watch. Hopefully the NHL network televises the games |

He's also the one that I have most hope for to get hot. Not saying it will happen but he is streaky and has done it in the past. |

Exactly.
I said this same thing in yesterday's blob.
With Elliott, there is no confidence.
With Neuvy you have seen him play lights out before. You have that hope he goes white hot for 3 games and somehow the boys pull of something spectacular.
