Peter Tessier: Byfuglien will shoulder load with Morrissey out He's quietly done a very good job in four games but tomorrow night it's likely Byfuglien will have even more responsibility and pressure with Morrissey out.

Time to put Boudreau out of his misery.

I kinda like him to be in misery.

Big Buff!
The absence of Morrissey will also put more pressure on the forwards to make sure they are back defending responsibly and forechecking extra hard - my gut says the boys will make life miserable for Minnesota on Friday and close it out in dominating fashion.

Nice to see Buff's stats as you posted.

Buff is quietly going about his business, "just another day at the office" according to Buff.

It should be interesting to see what PoMo puts on the ice for D pairings for Friday's game.

Go Jets!

Jet's will blow out the Wild tomorrow. Forwards will step up BIG TIME to protect the back end. Just like Pittsburgh did last year with a poor defensive group. Niku

This is really, really bad news for anyone who has studied the game of hockey past looking at their TV screen. A defensive liability playing hurt with one of A: a worse defensive liability (7), B: a rookie (83), or C: having to play his off side/ forcing someone else to.

Awesome news that Myers is back. I feared with a knee injury that it was more serious. Great news for the Jets and the fans !!!

This also give Maurice the ability to move Trouba over to the left side for the game. Makes sense.

Good luck to the Jets tonight ....Go JETS Go !

I hope they pair Myers up with Trouba and have him play his off-side, I like the Morr-Buff and Chia-Pool pairings as they are

Myers in, Poolman in, looks like Mason might not be able to backup tonite. That is not good. We need a healthy Mason for backup.

I think it's Niku time - he will sub in for Morrissey alongside Trouba. Poolman will remain the right side option.

I think Niku stayed on for extra conditioning which means he is not in the lineup tonite. Looks like Myers is in, Poolman in, no room for Niku at the moment.

This could change, who knows, but it looks like Trouba, Chairot, Morrow, Buff, Poolman and Myers for tonite. What the pairings are, no idea on that.

I would be okay with this option - I think Myers is going to play hurt and will be a target for the Wild - why not give Sami a look and see what he can do? he looked pretty decent in Montreal, pair him with someone more defensive like Trouba and I think he would do well

I believe we all love Niku as a prime prospect that looks ready for the NHL. He reminds me somewhat of a young Roman Josi. Sami will not play tonight. Myers is in. Its funny how Wrong-way Rexy likes to childishly act like he gave birth to Niku or something....lol. Whatever Rexy? I'm sure your scouts in Finland were all over him.

I have/had concerns about his defensive play in Montreal - 3 goals against. He needs a pairing with a strong stay-at home option. I think Trouba is the guy.

Wow, Mason injured again! This time in individual drills. The guy is clearly falling apart, next time it will be that he threw his back out getting out of bed Too bad because he has looked good in the few appearances he's made.

Agreed for sure on that - anyone paired with Buff needs to be defensively capable/responsible as he takes risks that force his partner to cover - Morrow seems like a good fit with him - would like to see the Niku/Trouba look.

Niku might be the love child of Rexy and Mrs. Dano ?

Don't think so, more likely an offshoot of Rexy from mitotic cell division.
