I want the Jets to win this series.

That being said, that cross check against Staal was atrocious. There had best be a suspension to Morrissey forthcoming.

Good blog.

Brutal "missed" call. Almost assuredly a result of the fact that they were already on the Powerplay. But Wild still had a chance to come back, and were unable to.

Still don't buy that so many people are trying to argue it was an accident. Regardless, accident or not it is deserving of a suspension.

To me, imho, BB was one of the main reasons the Wild lost that game. His inability to adapt through the game was brutal. Case in point: The game the Wild won when Koivu's line was matched up almost exclusively against the Wheeler line. As a result that line had 3 shots the entire game, 3!! Fast forward to this game. The Staal line was matched up inexplicably against the Wheeler line, similar to the 1st two games. The result? Staal's line was hemmed in quite frequently and scored on. That's all on BB. I like him as a coach but his inability to make in game adjustments, just like his time in Washington, has done the Wild no favors being shorthanded as they are. On to the players. Coyle had his worst playoff game as a Wild. His inability to get pucks to the net, use his body or his speed is also inexcusable. Enis should never suit up for another Wild game period. At this point put in Kloos who is faster, bigger and has a better shot than Enis. All around poor effort by the squad yesterday.

Most teams arent' going to be able to carry on successfully without arguably their two top players.

When Suter got hurt there was still a chance. When Parise was hurt that chance pretty much came to an end.

Wild have no one near good enough to replace Parise's skill, motor or compete level.

All I can say is the obvious, the Wild have their backs to the wall, no Parise or Suter. However never say dies boys, Dubnyk can steal games and with a little luck they can at least prolong the series. Win Friday and back home for game six would be huge. Anything can happen in a game 7. The Jets should be without Myers and if Morrissey does not get two or three I will be some peed off.

He's not going to get any suspension. I doubt he'll even get a fine. And I only say that because there was no penalty called on the ice. So if the league did suspend or fine him they'd have to admit that it was a horribly blown non call. Which they rarely do.

Not like the suspension matters. The jets are a hungrier team with that killer instinct, I highly doubt they'll let the wild come steal one in their house.

Everyone around my neighbourhood knows that was a brutal cross-check by Morrissey ... it stands alone, no need to bring up other hits

Your chance is Friday night ... we are down 4 starting D and may ice a kid that weighs 165 lbs soaking wet on left D (Niku) ... he can skate but this is playoff hockey

Dubnyk at his best and a strong forecheck are your keys to success

Good luck

An elimination game is when having a veteran team with players like Koivu and Staal is an advantage. The Jets are pretty green and still need to prove they can put a team away.

The Wild are a deep team, unfortunately they are not a deep enough team to withstand the losses of 2 major players each arguably the best player at their positions. Not saying the Wild cannot prevail here, but I think their chances are greatly diminished in light of those missing players.

If the Wild have shown us anything this season it's that they lack any true merit of consistency one way or the other, and that's even with everyone pretty much healthy. Some nights they looked like world beaters and some nights looked overmatched by the worst teams in the league.

That aside, as I stated previously, the better team will win this series and move on to the next round.
